Beautiful stay
Very friendly and customer-oriented staff. Fantastic breakfast with however the restriction that breakfast is only on weekdays until 9.30 am. The food in the evening also very good and rich.
The rooms are clean, but an EZ unfortunately only has a narrow 90cm bed. The rooms to the rear are very quiet.

Family-friendly stay with minor weaknesses
Our reservation for the hotel in Oldenburg was completely uncomplicated. A short call was enough, the payment by credit card was processed directly on the phone. On site we were greeted by a beautiful suite that was perfect for our family with two adults and two children. The room layout was thoughtful and ensured a relaxed togetherness.
As mentioned in other reviews, the hotel has come of age significantly. The overall style looks a bit old-fashioned, and the small elevator fits the picture – but we always felt safe, which is why we can’t quite understand some critical reviews.
The staff was very friendly and polite from the first moment. We also used the hotel pool, which was manageable but pleasantly warm. However, the chlorine content was quite high, which was clearly noticeable – but it still remained fun for the children.
For dinner we had reserved a table as a precaution, which turned out not to be absolutely necessary in retrospect, as there was little operation. We would like to emphasize the very nice service person, a young man who was also extremely friendly to the children. My wife's vegan lentil curry was very delicious. Waiting times for food and drinks were a bit long, however, which could indicate that the service staff also helped out in the kitchen.
Breakfast the next morning was sumptuous and regularly well stocked – a nice start to the day. Practically we also found the free parking directly at the hotel. If there is no space there, however, you must switch to a paid parking garage.
Overall we were happy with our stay. Nevertheless, there is still room for improvement in price and food. Despite the visible signs of aging of the hotel, we had a good time as a family – but a modernization would do the house good.
