A bit outdated, but still very pleasant

A quiet, somewhat outdated hotel on the Heide. The rooms are spacious and clean, with private bathroom, television and free WiFi. Unfortunately, no cooler and no air conditioning. Now, you don't need that in November, but properly controlling the heating was a challenge, I couldn't get the one in the bathroom to work.
The staff is very helpful and sweet.
The restaurant/bar is cozy and offers common German dishes at reasonable prices. The Schweinegeschnetzeltes is highly recommended.
Free parking.
The breakfast is buffet style and extensive enough, the coffee could be better.
In summer you can apparently use the public outdoor swimming pool next to the hotel for free.
During my visit, the customers were mainly military and business people, but I suspect that in the summer families will have a pleasant stay there at a very reasonable price.

Compact, complete and very neat!

Together with some colleagues I stayed in this wonderful and cozy hotel. It caters to tourists, families, and -mostly- to military personnel working in the nearby Bergen-Hohne training area.
The staff is excellent, dedicated and the cook is great. The rooms are simple, but clean and well maintained.
It was possible for us to negotiate a stay within our allowed budget, which makes the place very conventient and attractive for people travelling for government business

Fantastic food and service. Authentic atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Fantastic atmosphere and the most service minded and helpful people I’ve ever encountered while traveling. My friend and I got stuck while riding our bikes form Norway to Italy. The hotel manager and his staff couldn’t have done more to help us. While waiting for the spare parts to arrive we enjoy great food and drinks.

Freundliches Personal

Sehr freundliches Personal, das alles tut, um den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Ich habe auf Wunsch ein schöneres Zimmer bekommen und ein extrem netter Mitarbeiter hat mein vergessenes Kabel gesucht, gefunden und ins nächste Hotel gebracht!
Das Essen kann verbessert werden - es gibt keine vegetarische Option, der namenlose Rotwein war schon lange offen, der Salat knirschte, etc. Das Frühstück allerdings war reichhaltig und gut.
Das kostenlos zu benutzende Waldbad nebenan ist phantastisch, besonders am Morgen.

Horrible à la limite de l'insalubrité ! A fuir !

La chambre qui m'a été attribuée d'une qualité médiocre, celle -ci sentant le renfermé, elle n'a pas du être utilisée depuis plusieurs semaines, la moquette d'un autre âge,
La chasse aux punaises et aux mouches aurait pu me divertir mais après un long voyage ... Le prix 132 € la nuit. C'est de l'escroquerie. Je ne sais pas si les militaires très présents dans cet établissement paient le même prix . C'est une arnaque ! . Le Wi-fi dans cette partie d'hôtel était non opérationnelle. La dernière fois que j'étais dans cette ville je fus logé dans un autre hôtel aux prix identiques mais aucune comparaison quant à la prestation. Pour info l'autre hôtel était le Niemeyer's Romantik Posthotel
