A stopover that you can recommend!
We used the hotel for a stopover. Direct proximity to the highway is perfect, quiet village location, cozy and upscale. The rooms in the old building are classic but large with a balcony. The pool is not suitable for lounging. Sun terrace by the pool without shade. Dinner outside is brilliant, Mediterranean flair, super service. Kraichgau tapas are a must! Schnitzel is perfect! Breakfast is very good. International clientele, also popular for corporate events.

Excellent hotel with a fantastic breakfast.
As a business traveler, unfortunately financially limited, I recommend mid- to higher-class room categories to take full advantage of all amenities.

Black Forest Hospitality for Ironman Kraichgau
We stayed here for Ironman 70.3 Kraichgau, and the standout feature of this hotel is undoubtedly the culture and friendliness of the staff.
A special mention must be made for Ingrid, who was working the evening shifts during our stay. She is quite simply one in a million. Nothing was too much trouble, and she made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived.
We were particularly impressed by the attention to detail. By the second morning, the breakfast staff already remembered our room number, which says a great deal about the level of care and personal service throughout the hotel.
As athletes, we were very grateful to be allowed to keep our bikes in our room. It gave us peace of mind and one less thing to worry about in the build-up to race day. The hotel had also clearly thought about the needs of Ironman competitors, offering a special Ironman dinner menu in the beautiful covered courtyard the evening before the race, as well as an early breakfast from 5.30am on race morning.
The hotel itself is lovely, but what really makes it special is the people. We have stayed in hotels all over the world, and the warmth, professionalism and genuine hospitality shown by every member of staff was outstanding. The Winzerhof is a superb example of Black Forest hospitality at its very best.
We would happily stay here again and would highly recommend it, whether you are racing Ironman Kraichgau or simply visiting this beautiful part of Germany.

Very friendly atmosphere - excellent cuisine - perfect evening.
We spontaneously stopped by the Winzerhof in Rauenberg after visiting the Pentecost market in Angelbachtal. Fortunately, we were able to get a table on the very nice terrace. The staff was extremely friendly and initially recommended always making a reservation. The terrace was ultimately fully booked.
To start, we treated ourselves to an aperitif (Sarti Lemon or Mario Spritz). Afterward, we began with two small Winzerhof salads (delicious and generous). For the main course, we chose the asparagus with pancakes or a small portion of Ikarimi salmon with risotto. Delicious! To accompany this, we drank a cool Auxerrois or a Rosé Menges in the hot temperatures. We had a perfect evening with always attentive service and would gladly return - next time with a reservation!

Outstanding start to the New Year!!!
We had a fantastic start into the New Year at the Ringhotel Winzerhof. Kudos to the entire team and family of Menges.
The rooms are good size, well heated and have wonderful comfortable beds. The bathroom was also nice and spacious.
The eve with the pleasure of roulette was a wonderful surprise and idea. On the one hand, we got to know our sociable tablemates, on the other hand, it was not a stiff event. Everyone was always excited to go to the roulette table between meals.
On New Year's Eve, we would like to thank the entire team for their outstanding kitchen and service. The menu was sensational and well put together. The beverage selection as an all-inclusive service was also there. Anyone who wanted could always go back to the newly designed bar with DJ. There were also cocktails and other drinks. In the hall was played by a 5-man band with singer.
The oysters and the fresh and locally baked prawns in the beer dough with the glass of sparkling wine outside at the start of the New Year and the midnight buffet again at the were a surprise.
On New Year's Day, the Menges family organized a small vineyard hike with a drink and hearty stew. That was a nice conclusion.
We had a great time and would love to come back anytime.
