A really good experience. Can be highly recommended.

We had floated ourselves and ordered a junior suite which was a nice experience. The room was fun and different with many fine and fun details. Never before tried a room with 2 TVs!
A large, nice bathroom with bathtub, bidet and shower cabin etc.
A large private terrace right out to the forest.
Wifi without password.
Breakfast was very nice (and like the hotel in the more expensive end) but everything was really good quality and really tasty no matter what we tasted.
Very clean and nice everywhere with super staff.
Free parking right outside the door.

Disappointing!

We stayed on Saturday night after a long break with friends in the bar, which we still remembered very cozy and well attended as a smoking location. We were all the more disappointed when we heard that smoking, which is not unusual in a bar, was denied. The ladies behind the bar seemed quite buckless, the fireplace did not burn the parking lot was almost empty, the restaurant closed, which surprised us a lot. Conclusion: For us under the circumstances not worth a longer journey to accept, we can have cocktails and cozy alternatives there are enough in Hamburg - a pity ☹️ .

Regular customers are virtually kicked out!!!

Unfortunately, we learned today that you can no longer smoke in the bar from 1.11.2025. Thus the bar loses us as well as various of our friends who are regular customers here for decades (in the future unfortunately were )

All good, but why no aircon?

Very nice and beautiful hotel. Rooms are spacious, interiors are lovely, food at restaurant is fantastic.
Spa area is great too.
But why on earth Germany still doesn’t use aircons even at 5* hotels????
It was 28 degrees, so the sleep isn’ pleasant at all.
