Hotel to forget

I stayed there for one night with a friend. Nobody in the hotel speaks even a word of German!! The rooms were very small, in the bathroom you could not even turn around. The promised view of the vineyards was just a glimpse of a garage. The promise given to us that we would be driven to the dock in Oestrich-Winkel and picked up again at night (to Rhine in flames) was suddenly forgotten. We had to go there by taxi - and at night we had a big problem getting back to the hotel.
This hotel is just for forgetting.

Not worth the money.

We visited the hotel 4 years ago and there it was German owned. Breakfast varied and good, and every day we were asked how we wanted our eggs cooked.
This time the breakfast was very sparse and no variation. Eggs were cooked in a dish??
There was no filling, if there was only 1 piece of cheese then there was not for everyone.
A sad game!
It had the impression that it was not running very well, because the door to the toilet could not be closed and the shelves were dusty.
Previously, the hotel had parking, so you got parking at a reasonable Award, this is no longer the case and it was expensive!
So the cost of the hotel stay was overall ALL too expensive

It is not worth it.

The seal for a three-star hotel had already expired and the hotel appears to have been taken over by an Asian hotelier. Unfortunately, communication was not easy.
The house has the charm of the 70s and not the standard that one can expect for the price asked. The cheap rolls from the discount store for breakfast also fit in with this. Not again.
There is also traffic on both sides of the hotel.

Nice big room, but no view

We stayed just one night – our first stop during a week-long hike along the Rhine. Our room (501) was in one of the guest houses (Haus Annegret), not in the hotel building itself. The room was large, almost a suite, but it had no view whatsoever. Not too much of a problem for a one-night stay, but it's always nice to have a view. The shower was not big but plenty of pressure and hot water. The breakfast restaurant in the hotel building is very tasteful, and the breakfast was lovely. There is no hotel parking and no free parking on the road, and we needed to park our car for the week. We parked in the car park for the cable car which is just across the road from the hotel. Handy but pricy enough at 13 Euro a day (nothing to do with the hotel but just something to be aware of).

Disappointing

We stayed here for 2 nights in June and were somewhat disappointed. The room we had booked was 'no longer available' and we were put elsewhere. The room we were given smelled of smoke and was very hot - not even a fan was available. The attitude of the receptionist was pretty poor, and reminded me of Germany back in the 1970's - the answer is just No.
Expensive and we wouldn't stay here again.
