Good middle-class, small and unfortunately right at the village crossing
The reception by the receptionist is rough to unfriendly. Room of category cow is very small but clean.
Restaurant we would describe as good middle class at fair prices.
Extraordinary is that for egg dishes for breakfast up to € 3.50 per person are called extra.

Everything is fine except for a few points
The hotel is located on an access road to Schluchsee. There is a lot of driving, but in the evening and night it is really quiet. Check-in went smoothly. It is somewhat unusual that you have to pay the entire amount of the stay in advance. The room was spacious and clean and had good beds and a balcony with a table and two chairs. The bathroom was clean and comfortable. There was a safe, but we couldn't really get it to work. The food was well prepared and tasty and came to the table fairly quickly. The breakfast is certainly sufficient, although we have also experienced better.
The area is ideal as a starting point for walks. A return trip to Schluchsee is a walk of about 10 km.
The hotel is located between a collection of houses. There are no shops nearby. There is a bus stop nearby.
Then the minuses.
With a few exceptions, the staff was not very intent on making it fun. Furthermore, we would have liked to have known in advance that every morning at 7 o'clock there would be about 4 painters working on the scaffolding that was directly adjacent to our balcony.
That gave a clear limitation in privacy.
A kettle in the room would also be welcome. And also some bottled water instead of a carafe of tap water. Egg dishes and bacon can be ordered for breakfast at an additional cost. No one did that, by the way, but it all seemed rather frugal. That brings me to the last point, in our opinion the prices for the food here are a bit higher than average.
