Exceptional welcome, conveniently located

Ideal location near the ski slopes and the city center. Very warm hotel, very welcoming decoration, generous, like the owners who are charming, with little care for guests. Very complete breakfast with beautiful mountain views and terrace. We recommend!

Good work out

Hotel in need of serious updating. Only a1 person staff. Located high on a hill. There are 30 steps to the entrance of the hotel. Assistance with luggage was never offered. This was quite a surprise as other small hotels had offered assistance for a solo traveler. No fridge in the room either .

Thank you for your stay. We don't know where you had this experience, but it couldn't have been at our hotel. The Black Forest is mountainous, which is why most hotels have stairs. When you left, you said that everything was to your complete satisfaction, so we think you must have made some mistakes. If you look at our reviews, they completely contradict how you rated us. Furthermore, if a guest needs assistance, we will also bring their luggage to their room. By the way, there is also a refrigerator, which you always walked past. Perhaps you didn't notice it because you also had problems unlocking the door, which no guest before you has ever had. We wish you all the best and much satisfaction.

Small guesthouse, friendly and family-owned

Visited here for a group reunion. Small guesthouse, run by a very friendly family. Basic and clean. Close to beautiful Black Forest hiking areas. Recommended for travelers who like to connect with the locals.

Peter and his wife looked after us very well from the moment we arrived until we left. This is a great hotel to stay at based on the service we got and the great breakfasts.

Lovely property and even lovelier hosts

We stayed here during our tour of Europe. The hotel is in a good position above the town on a quiet street. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. Peter and his wife are perfect hosts and made us feel very welcome. They also provided help on the local area and dealt with an administration error caused by Hotels.com very quickly for us. I would certainly recommend staying here.
