A pearl.

We always had a good experience at the hotel.
Good food, good room with views of the river Trene.
Lovely nice and smiling staff.
Fantastic breakfast that stands ready when you arrive. Eggs are cooked if you want eggs - with a single "mojn" written on.
We have been there several times, but now it was probably the last time, since we are 88 and 89 years old - unfortunately!

Above average

A GREAT EXPERIENCE!
I celebrated my 85th birthday here with 16 people on March 14, 2026
From the classic reception to the farewell, it was not only a successful celebration, but a real gastronomic experience.
Chef Hans Jürgen Thomsen has come up with a brilliant 4-course dinner in which all culinary, professional and gastronomic expectations were exceeded. With the finest service at the table and with his charm, he served his homemade surprise cakes with burning torches at the end of the dinner.
All processed main products were from local region, excellently crafted and served.
I would like to express my admiration and collegial thanks and look forward to further opportunities to be a guest here .

A little gem in quiet village

+
Nice and clean room with huge large bathroom. Private terrace with garden furniture and sun bed and with beautiful views.
Really good breakfast and there was plenty of it. Again with the most beautiful view from the restaurant.
The staff were both helpful and friendly.

The bed was too hard and the head pillow could have been better.

Fantastic breakfast table.

My wife was supposed to have a birthday present on her 88th birthday. What could one give, a stay at Hotel zur Trene. I booked 2 nights with 3retters menu.
We had a couple of wonderful days. The food is simply super, although we didn't get the 3 dishes menu, but the buffet both days, it was a bit a disappointment, we don't like the buffet! And another thing we are used to having dew on the table, but where we were located, there was no dew.
The breakfast table was fantastic and a couple of cute ladies made sure we didn't miss anything.
We were at the hotel last year and we would love to come back next year.

Underground food + bad complaint - Management

We have been with two families for dinner at the restaurant zur Treene. The table was reserved for 7 p.m. The restaurant was well attended and almost all tables have been occupied. We were greeted friendly and brought to our table. Then unfortunately nothing happened for now! At some point, the service came to take the order for the drinks. Drinks arrived an hour later. On the menu you could find food such as North Frisian tapas.
As an appetizer we ordered a beef broth with meatballs. The soup was unfortunately totally salted (the taste reminded me a bit of Maggi). The meatballs were not homemade either. The main course had a schnitzel with fries, redfish with fried potatoes and the North Frisian tapas. The schnitzel was okay so far. The redfish was definitely a TK product and was very dry. The fried potatoes also tasted rancid fat and were totally greasy! As tapas we had the cabbage roulade with mashed potatoes and a piece of roast. The roulade was very disappointing in taste and was definitely not freshly prepared. The meat was mixed and also not edible!
Very bad about the food used.
All defects have been communicated to the service personnel. The young man was visibly uncomfortable. He tried to explain it with the full restaurant and all the work. We would have liked to have talked to a supervisor, unfortunately the boss was at another event for cooking (gourmet event).
We had to pay the bill in full!

Very good location
