Conference Hotel

I stayed at the Hotel Schloss for a 3 day, 2 night conference in Feb 2019, which was my second time at this hotel in 3 years.
My rating would be 3* for a “holiday” hotel, but it is 4* as a business hotel and conference facility. The hotel is large enough to accommodate the 30 or so overseas visitors, and the conference room housed the 50 delegates comfortably.
The rooms are large and comfortable although tea and coffee making facilities, and ironing are not included, which are fairly basic omissions. The hotel does feel dated, but it is clean and all the facilities do work.
Breakfast is buffet style and satisfied a cross section of European and Asian tastes. Lunch and dinner were arranged for 50 and ran very smoothly. The food itself is fine, although nothing memorable.
The staff are friendly and appear hard working. Our conference organiser was happy with the cooperation and everything ran smoothly.
It’s probably not the ideal setting for a romantic weekend, but it was perfect for our requirements.

Quiet

The rooms are huge but the hotel style is a little out of time, colors are not friendly and decoration looks like a 80s casino.
The personnel is super kind and available.
Breakfast quality should be improved.

Ok for conference

Conference facilities were pretty good. The hotel looks very nice from outside. Rooms are spacious but a bit dated. Large bathroom with shower in the tub. Parking was adequate. Food was not as good as I expected from a 4 star German hotel. Staff was ok but not overly friendly. Beds were comfortable. Overall good experience but I would not go out of my way to revisit.

if you are looking for quietness

positive:
- free wifi working throughout the hotel
- good standard German breakfast (o not expect any fancy stuff)
- lots of free parking spaces
- big bathroom
negative:
- nothing around - if you do not have a car you will be stuck
- room interior looks a little bit "vintage"
- shower in the bath tub
