Magical stay in a beautiful castle! I ate the best meal I have ever had in the restaurant and the breakfast buffet was extensive and tasty! My husband said he had the best eggs! It was just a lovey stay, but book a taxi ahead of time as it’s difficult to reach them if you arrive in the evening. Go into Eschwege as it is a picturesque town with a very helpful tourist center.

Very friendly staff, Highly recommended cuisine, Special, Ambience

This hotel has a very special flair you feel like you are in a castle. But it's still all modern. I particularly noticed the very friendly staff and the particularly good cuisine. I haven't eaten so well in a long time the fitness area is expandable I will definitely come back.

An experience like a princess!

I was treated like a princess!
I had to celebrate my birthday today without my husband because he had to stay at home due to illness.
I was at Hohen Meißner and at Frau Holle's pond clearing the cold and sunshine. Frozen as I was, I looked for a hotel with a sauna and found one at the Hotel Wolfsbrunnen.
What I couldn't have known is that I would be the only overnight guest. I am treated like a princess here.
There are other couples and five women from outside who have completed an etiquette course at dinner.
So the chef and the extremely friendly receptionist and waitress - of course also to make things easier for him - offered me their 6-course menu. I gladly accepted this offer because there were corresponding wines to go with it.
The menu was amazing!
First I found a wonderfully decorated birthday table and was given a Kir Royal as an aperitif.
Then, as a greeting from the kitchen, there was a smoked goose breast with a spicy apple ragout. The apple ragout was an absolute dream, especially as it went wonderfully with the aperitif, a Vermouth la Copa.
Afterwards, there was avocado with sour cream and smoked salmon. OK, the smoked salmon and the avocado were a bit too cold to really develop their aroma. But the rösti with red caviar was a dream. The Pinot Blanc from the Kallfelz winery
went perfectly.
Afterwards, a cream of celery soup with slices of veal fillet was served. This soup was divine. I don't actually like celery, but this combination with a wonderful seed oil and celery strips was wonderfully balanced.
The intermediate course consisted of sautéed prawns on orange fennel. The taste experience was incredible. The fennel was fermented like sauerkraut, so healthy and very tasty. There was also a fennel sorbet. I've never tasted anything like it. Rosemary rounded it off. A real dream.
The main course - a saddle of venison with fried Brussels sprouts and parmesan fritters - left almost nothing to be desired. The venison was incredibly tender. The Brussels sprouts were served with pomegranate and blood oranges. A real treat for the palate. The parmesan fritters, however, could have used a bit more parmesan.
To finish off, there were dessert variations in the form of poppy seed ice cream, almond cakes and kumquat compote. All with a very tasty vanilla sauce.
Hopefully there are no peas in bed.

Sehr geehrter Gast,

E charging not possible although charging station is displayed in Google and works

A lot of things are good - especially the breakfast. I was annoyed that I wasn't allowed to charge my electric car at the functioning charging station. That cost my partner and me an hour and we would have gladly paid a lot for the charging.

Sehr geehrter Herr Dr. Wilhelm Vogelbusch,
