Great staff & good food, but massive deficiencies in cleanliness and safety.
The positive aspects:
Staff & service: The staff was overall very friendly and helpful. Particularly noteworthy is the male receptionist – a wonderful employee with whom one could even have in-depth, competent conversations about network infrastructure! The "Children's Paradise" was great; even the parents felt comfortable here in bad weather. The defective batteries in the landline phone were quickly replaced within two hours after reporting.
Catering: The breakfast was very varied, fresh, and really good.
The negative aspects:
Cleanliness of the vacation apartment (poor): Unfortunately, the room was dirty everywhere. The mattresses were covered with hair and other residues. There was a centimeter-thick layer of dust under and behind the heaters, the sofa, and the curtains. The provided high chair for babies was extremely dirty with food residues.
Condition & Defects: Parts of the inventory were defective or dirty. The batteries were completely missing from the makeup mirror. A major problem: In the rain, water from the balcony window of the apartment above flowed directly into our interior.
Balcony & Outdoor Area: The balcony was "extremely dirty," including heavy overgrowth between the tiles. The children's playground is extremely outdated; due to the rotting wood, there is an acute risk of injury from splinters.
IT Security / Wi-Fi: The hotel Wi-Fi is absolutely insecure. The entire network infrastructure operates on an 8 subnet mask – and that without any client isolation!
Hidden additional costs: Parking on the hotel premises incurs a hefty 15 euros per night (this could have been more cleverly included directly in the room rate). The beach chair is also only available for an additional fee.
Exception regarding service: While the majority of the team was excellent, unfortunately, two younger ladies at the reception never had a smile to spare. One had the feeling that they would have preferred not to be approached at all.
Conclusion: Unfortunately, a disappointment given the price and the expectations of the establishment. There is an urgent need to invest in cleanliness, safety, and modernization.
Information:
All deficiencies can be documented with pictures.

Dreamlike stay
We had an absolutely fantastic stay at the Cliff Hotel Rügen and are thoroughly impressed. The location directly on the steep coast is simply breathtaking – the view of the Baltic Sea and the direct beach access are priceless.
The entire staff was extremely attentive, friendly, and professional. A special thanks goes especially to Mr. Helmut Schumacher, who made our stay truly perfect with his great service and warmth during breakfast in the morning!
Furthermore, we would like to thank Ms. Weronika Mejer and Mr. Kemas Husen for their consistently friendly and attentive service during dinner.
At the reception, Ms. Nadja Dubberke, Christin Jahn, and Malte Volke were always available to us, friendly and with valuable tips.
Our room was clean, cozy, and offered a beautiful view. A real highlight was the extensive breakfast buffet, which left nothing to be desired, as well as the spacious, well-maintained spa and pool area, which is perfect for relaxing. For us, it was the perfect getaway. We will definitely come back and can highly recommend this hotel!

To be praised as a more luxurious accommodation, it felt old and dark. As someone has written before, the spirit is in the wall and furniture.
It simply lacks a cozy factor.
The location is good and easy to get to the beach, which is really good. Kilometres with fine sandy beach, and the opportunity to walk on paved paths along the beach.
Parking cost extra and it was on the hair that the spaces were enough.
The pool was good, but the shower and dressing room did not smell fresh at all.
Breakfast costs extra and was not worth this money.
But if you are looking for a one-stop-hotel, then this is well ok.
By the way, don't forget the earplugs, because the seagulls keep a noisy symphony basically around the clock.
