Basic countryside inn
But Silberstedt is a bunch of houses along road from Schleswig to Husum and the hotel is pretty basic. The service personel are stressed and you do not feel rally welcome -more like that they want you serviced in the fastet way, so that you will get out of their sight as fast as possible. The rooms are quite big but the TV is smallest we have ever seen. The bathroom (in our case) was small and all brown, the shower led most of the water out to the main floor that has no drain. Even a short shower will float the floor and cause the water to enter the carpet in the room.. We had booked for 3 nights including breakfast and dinner. First nights 3 course dinner was boring and tasteless, but the next 2 days became better and better, ending with a quite good 5 course dinner. Breakfast is good solid German quality, basic but nothing is missing and all tastes good. We brought our MTB's, but the personel would not offer us a place to put the indoor for the night (Thank you for the large rooms). The situation of this hotel is not that well as a base for your bike trips - the distance is to far before you reach the very beautiful surroundings. We would not chose this hotel again.

Großes Zimmer, ruhige Lage
Geräumiges Zimmer mit üblicher Ausstattung, sauber aber leider noch mit Teppichboden. Pluspunkt Sitzgelegenheiten: zwei Stühle und zusätzlich zweisitzige Couch. Das Bad war recht eng, die Dusche jedoch groß. Badausstattung: top-modern und komfortabel. Angenehme Ruhe im Zimmer, von der nahen Bundesstraße ist kaum etwas zu hören.
Das Frühstücksbüffet bietet eine der Hotelgröße entsprechende gute Auswahl. Wir wurden immer sehr freundlich bedient.
Es stehen ausreichend Parkplätze kostenlos zu Verfügung. WLAN kostenlos, jedoch mussten wir uns immer wieder mit Benutzer-ID und Passwort anmelden.
Fazit: empfehlenswert trotz kleiner Schwächen
