if in Stuttgart, then definitely at the Kronenhotel!!
we love being welcomed here warmly and lovingly every time. every detail is right!! and the best part: going into the garden in the evening and morning and enjoying breakfast
honestly? which city hotel has such a great garden terrace for its guests? Absolutely great

Very Strange Experience

I was truly shocked with my stay here. After seeing previous reviews, I couldn’t believe how our stay went.
I thought the heavy brass key for the door was novel. I was starting to get worried when I saw a stand up fan , in a supposedly AC room. With no kettle in the room, and being told they don’t have any, I think I should have realised, something was not as it should.
The most peculiar thing about our stay was the lack of fellow guests. In the 5 days we stayed, we only seen about 6 people!!!
Now the staff, who far outnumbered the guests were all very nice. But probably should have let me know that the hotel was, for all intents and purposes partially closed.
I was told on a number of occasions, that there was nothing wrong with the AC. And when I insisted something was not right, they said they would check it out, even escorting me to my room, to ensure I was using it properly. Which I was.
Eventually offering to change my room.
But by this time, I gave up. I wasn’t going to chance, going to go through all this again. I wasn’t going to let this spoil my holiday.
With the temp outside well into the 30s, we kept the shutters down, and the fan on full, and made the best of it.
We also tried the breakfast after seeing the reviews. It was ok, but overpriced for what it was. Then again, there only seemed a few people having breakfast.
As I said, all the staff were very nice. Everywhere was nice and clean. The location was very good. Close to the station and the center. Very very quiet !!!
But probably wouldn’t stay here again.

Super hotel

Very comfortable hotel. Well situated: 15 minutes in foot to the central shopping area. Excellent breakfast.

Excellent, close to the train station

Excellent hotel, the map to get to the train station was a real plus, because the neighborhood is a huge construction site, and access to the station is winding and poorly marked. The made-to-order eggs at breakfast, systematically offered, is a small advantage that helps them stand out.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at.

“A phenomenal hotel with an excellent staff. The facility is top notch, and everyone was genuinely helpful. Our host, Elisabeth, was always accommodating and made us feel right at home. The rooms are fantastic, and breakfast was the best I’ve ever had. The underground parking was a great bonus, too. I’ll definitely be returning!”
