Hotel Döllnsee-Schorfheide
This 4-star hotel in Templin is located on the banks of Großer Döllnsee lake, surrounded by biosphere reserve Schorfheide-Chorin, only one hour north of Berlin. The varied breakfast and use of the indoor pool and saunas are included in the price.

House with flair - perfect starting point for the Schorfheide
We stayed at this hotel for the second time and enjoyed the special atmosphere again. Our room in the quiet side wing was newly renovated and in very good condition. The staff is always polite and courteous. The breakfast buffet was very rich, but was still topped by the evening buffet. The environment is fantastic. We hiked about 20 km on each of our four days. The rustic lake sauna (unfortunately without shower, but that's what the lake is for) revitalized our tired muscles. The audience in the house is very sedate and divided between families with children and older couples, who all make no noise after 10 p.m. When the window was open at 7am we were woken up by the sound of small woodpeckers. We will definitely come back.

Without atmosphere and warmth
Our short stay at this hotel will remain the only one. We found the beach area with sauna and boathouse very unkempt. The new Nardi loungers don't help either. There was no shortage of staff in the restaurant, but motivation and interest in the guest. Unfortunately, the breakfast could not convince. Of the simple dishes (disco bottom cold cuts), something was only very hesitantly refilled. You had to search quite a bit to find something delicious. Our room in the main house was newly renovated, there was no save.

Mid-range hotel with air up...
The decor of the room was ok without being premium. Sounds in the hallway are audible.
The breakfast buffet was good and varied, the buffet we chose in the evening was very good in terms of quality and choice. The service was good.
The location is excellent if you are looking for peace and intact nature, located directly on Lake Döllnsee. The nearest town about 20 km away.
The lake sauna with jetty into the lake was very good from the location, in terms of equipment and quality there would still be room for improvement.
The value for money is ok, but not worth mentioning in particular.
The house sauna was designed to be much too small for the high demand. There are almost seven to eight places in it. When we wanted to use it, it was completely overcrowded and could not be used. We then swerved into the lake sauna.
Later in the evening we had the opportunity to use the house sauna again, but it had to be found that it is very much in need of renovation and absolutely needs a revision. You can't offer something like that anymore!

Beautifully located hotel on the lake
We spent a few days here in autumn, the hotel is very nice and quiet on the lake, we ate very well and enjoyed the swimming pool. Also the sauna on the lake is very nice with a view of the lake, the indoor sauna, on the other hand, could do with an overhaul. The same goes for the dining room, which is still somewhat influenced by the charm of bygone times. When renting a bicycle, it would be desirable to also offer children's bicycles.

Missed the connection
The location is really great! Great lake, great forests - quiet!
The hotel complex itself exudes 90s charm. Everything, absolutely everything, seems pretty old-fashioned. Small rooms, a bathroom that wouldn't have won a beauty award even in the 1990s, no safe, but at least a smart TV. Second and last indication that we live in the 2020s: at least there are towel worms in the bathroom ;-) The bed is terrible, though: very large, but the strangest mattress I've ever experienced and horrible pillows;
The "wellness area" doesn't deserve its name: a small indoor pool that is reminiscent of a public indoor swimming pool, an old and very small indoor sauna with a strangely inappropriate seating set in front of it... there is also another one at the beautiful swimming area on the beautiful lake - but also very small and very old - sauna. You have to get towels at the hotel reception.
The evening buffet for 38,-- is clearly too expensive for the price! The breakfast, on the other hand, is really good, including the staff who work there: quick, friendly and hard-working!
Basically, there was enough staff available (not that easy these days!) and, a positive surprise: really friendly and good!
