Classic German hotel with excellent lunch and dinner

Five days of pampering with excellent breakfast and dinner (half board). Graffs Muhle is a classic German hotel, even with feather bedding and it has been about 40 years since I have experienced that before. Breakfast served at the table with your choice of rolls, cheese, sausage, eggs or yoghurt, all according to your wishes. Allergies are taken into account. No buffet so everything fresh and less food waste. Dinner choice with two options and of course excellent wines from the region. Great room with a very small bathroom. Beds made with feather (plume) duvets and pillows that can be made with synthetic bedding if you don't want to. You must indicate this when booking. Mattresses a bit hard, but that's personal. Room and whole hotel very clean. Hotel location on the outskirts of Traben-Trarbach, Trarbach Mosel-Thermen bus stop on the doorstep (lines 367 and 369). Parking (free) also in front of the door. The hotel has no elevator but steps, making it difficult to access for people with mobility problems. The room is not cleaned daily. Unfortunately, the owner of the hotel has not left behind the typical Dutch directness and rudeness (she is originally Dutch). Despite all the positives, we will not choose this hotel again. Just across the street from the hotel is Mosel-Therme with swimming pools (indoor and outdoor) and saunas. Mosel-Therme renovated inside in 2022 and 2023 and outside in 2024. Definitely recommended to spend a morning, afternoon or even a whole day here. Mosel-Therme Bistro: price/quality: moderate. Bistro seats on the edge of the indoor swimming pool, so quite noisy.

Lovely week!

Recently we, enjoyed a wonderful five night stay at Weinhaus Hotel Graffs Muhle that offered excellent value for money. The convenience of free parking directly opposite the hotel was a plus. Although I heard that some guests had problems with the free wifi, we did not notice.
The hotel has a quiet, mature atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing getaway. A free bottle of sparkling water in the room was a thoughtful gesture.
Upon check-in we were given a so-called Molly card which gave access to some interesting attractions outside the hotel. Free admission to Mittel Mosel Museum, worth it and discounted admission to the stunningly beautiful Buddha Museum. Furthermore, the card gave free access to a very cool Wellnes Center, literally within a hundred meters. A free massage, a very good one, was also added.
Traben and Trarbach offer a great selection of restaurants within a short drive, making for pleasant trips. The public car park by the Moselle River in Trarbach is convenient for those who want to explore the area. In addition, the hotel itself offers a simple but delicious menu. Since we had booked half board we did not make much use of the local restaurants, except for some simple lunches.
Wine lovers will appreciate the opportunity to purchase wines from local producers directly from the hotel. The owners add a personal touch by handling payments directly, ensuring a smooth and pleasant check-out process.
The rooms were exceptionally clean and the staff were incredibly helpful, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The combination of fair prices, excellent service and charming ambiance made for a great experience that we would highly recommend.

Friendly hotel at a quiet place

Smaal hotel, clean cosy rooms, very good restaurant, with local kitchen. A wine tasting is included in some arrangments: very special, never to forget.
The site is very calm. Parking is very easy, at the other side of the street.

Hotel Gräffs Mühle in Traben Trarbach Wildbadstrasse 217, 1 hour drive from Trier, from our room we could see the car park opposite the street, our room was divided in 2 spaces, the sleeping area and the space were you could read a book or watch tv, they give a good breakfast with fruitjuices, tea, herbal tea, coffee, marmalade, honey, egg (boiled, fried, scrambled), ham, cheese, salami etc, cereals, dried fruits ( abricot, prunes, dades, figs), selection of bread, we enjoyed a four course and 5 course meal with winetasting , the hotel provides leaflets about things to see around Traben Trarbach and we had 2 vouchers to go to the nearby moseltherme( swimming). The hotel has no elevator and if you are in the restaurant of the hotel you have to go downstaits if you need a toilet.

Lovely place to stay

A very nice and kind hotel. Altough we were the youngest couple in the hotel, we felt welcome. They served a very tastefull diner, combined with a fantastic house wine. The room we stayed in was very big, almost a miniature apartment. You can find a minigolf terrein next to the hotel and only a few meters up, you have the mosel therme.
