Super cosy hotel

ABSOLUTely a cozy place, my husband and I lived in a suite - everything was nice, clean and proper, really cozy furnishings, huge bathroom with both shower and tub. Good beds and good diners. We were also in the indoor swimming pool, small but nice with hot tub. We got 3 dishes menu the days we were there - really tasty and delicious food, sweet and friendly staff - delicious varied breakfast. The city is beautiful with the beautiful buildings in binding works that do not happen so much in the city, but we went to a town called Hann Münden where there was a little more to see (located about 40 min. drive away)

A great and relaxing stay

We stayed at the hotel for the 10th time in March 2026. It was a great and relaxing time again. The staff as always very friendly and attentive. The breakfast a force and the dinner really excellent. At this point a thank you to the kitchen. We will definitely come back.

Not a serious hotel!

We booked a wellness stay at the Hotel Menzhausen through MyDays and were unfortunately disappointed. The check-in was still fine, but our IDs were not checked and we were left largely to our own devices afterwards. There was no information about the use of the spa, and even the card for our extra massage was forgotten. The welcome drink was also denied and due to an unclear, previously uncommunicated time limit.
The cleanliness throughout the hotel left much to be desired. The elevator was clearly dirty, Christmas and table lights were smeared and dusty. In the restaurant there was only the surprise menu with no alternative choices, so I had to go back to the room hungry. The 3-course menu was included in the paid experience ticket.
Our room 151 was also in very poor condition. Here are some shortcomings: Broken and soiled tile, very dusty radiators with wall paint on the controller, carpeting with stains (runs through the entire building), mirror old and used up, hole in the sink. (According to staff already present for about 6 months), day and night considerable noise pollution in the hallway right outside our room door, so it was hard to think of restful sleep. Reason: A broken door!
The wellness area was not looked after.
We left the hotel the very next day.
We are extremely disappointed and unfortunately cannot recommend the hotel.
We will not come back

3 day short trip and complete satisfaction

The hotel is super idyllic right on the old town.
The rooms are a bit clocky, very spacious and really clean. We had a maisonette room overlooking the green garden.
The wellness area is small but fine. Especially on sunny summer days, it can be really endured outdoors.
The service throughout the hotel is really wonderful.
If desired, bicycles can be rented free of charge.
Breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired.
We were also twice in the hotel restaurant eating a la cart and can only lose positives.
All in all, we were completely satisfied on the 3 days on site.

Nice hotel with good food, but a little boring....

Small but excellent hotel. The spa department is quite small and somewhat disappointing. There is a hot tub and an outdoor pool or outdoor jacuzzi.
The food at the hotel was really good - both breakfast and dinner.
We can highly recommend this hotel but only for one night. There is too little to do in the hotel, and almost no attractions in the surrounding area to be attractive with more nights.
