Da geht noch was.
Bitte weiters so.!!!

This was the worst hotel experience of my life!
Due to work and holidays I have been in hundreds of hotels, sometimes 3 stars as in this case, mostly 4 stars, often 5 stars.
So I am well aware of the price and quality differences, but one thing must always be there for me regardless of the star classification:
Proper hygiene!
It was a disaster here.
Arrival/check-in: The reception at a young man's small reception was friendly, relaxed and perfectly fine.
Upon entering the room, a biting smell went straight up our nose, we suspect a strong chlorine purifier here.
“Well, once you open the windows and ventilate them properly, that will work!” we thought at the beginning.
Then we just quickly put the suitcases down and went to our friends' wedding party.
Around 1 a.m. we came back, the biting smell in the room was unbearable.
We still unpacked the bags.
Oh dear, in the cupboards dust and crumbs from the previous guests as well as a used towel that was not cleared away by the cleaners.
If the cleaning lady had opened the cupboard at least once for cleaning, the guest should have noticed the used and crumpled towel directly beforehand.
So we put nothing in the closet out of disgust and kept everything in the suitcase.
Then go to the bathroom to brush and wash our teeth before we go to bed.
Igitt, toenails, hair and dirt on the floor (photo attached).
Then to bed, a quick glance into the drawer of the bedside table to put something there.
Pfui, a dirty T-shirt, probably also from the previous guest (photo attached).
Okay, at least the wedding party of our friends at a place nearby was just fantastic, so get a good night's sleep.
Just like the strong smell of chlorine or whatever that was?
So open the window again.
No, that's not true, what's that noise? About every half hour a freight train passed by, felt right next to the hotel, sleep was unthinkable!
And why does it itch all over your face?
Isn't the pillow clean?
Okay, so put a fresh homemade towel over the pillow.
The next morning we got up with only a few minutes sleep, took a shower and went downstairs for breakfast.
Breakfast was perfectly fine, a roll with scrambled eggs, a coffee and an orange juice were wonderful for us.
At checkout we told the lady during payment (that was probably the “breakfast staff” and at the same time one of the room attendants) our experiences and problems.
She nodded understandingly at everything, was friendly and explained that probably three gentlemen had stayed in this room before (okay, three of them in a double bed?) and afterwards a whole new housekeeper of the hotel had cleaned there, because she herself would only clean with vinegar cleaner and not with chlorine-containing agents.
Okay, lady, but the hotel room and bathroom didn't seem to have been cleaned at all, why the used towel in the closet and the worn T-shirt in the drawer of the bedside table? She didn't know that, of course.
I then paid the bill, she apologized for all the inconvenience, she was sorry for everything, she would pass it on to the boss like that.
Well, that doesn't do us any good either, the sleepless night, the noise, the dirt and we both got a herpes in disgust afterwards.
For me it is very clear after this disaster: Never again Hotel am Park in Waltrop!

Our 2nd Time
Room is quite big and free wifi (first stayed was great, but 2nd time, wifi didn't work in our room) also coming with free breakfast although is rather poor compared to other hotel with cheaper price tag per night
Room per night is expensive considering the services approx 80 Euros/night. Since I do not want stay further away and have to drive everytime visit my relative so I have no choices.
I wonder how many visitors actually visited Waltrop but in my case is a familly matters
