Easter Vacation Family One Night Stay

We stayed for one night on our trip from Berlin to Bremen. Wanted to have a different experience from two nights in Berlin. And we got it. Relaxing country life. Our family room for four was big enough and very clean. We arrived late and found a parking spot at the three charging spots. Only one was working, but that was all we needed. Reception experience was friendly and although we were quite late for breakfast we were asked if we needed more scrambled eggs. Kids like the fact that they stayed in a real castle. Would recommend this rather than staying at a chain hotel near the Autobahn!

Not for families

Situated in a lovely castle, the hotel is very comfortable although hot in the summer and you can't sleep with the windows open due to the bells ringing every hour through the night. Breakfast is very good and the wifi was fast enough for my needs. Everything was in German but this wasn't a problem. Would stay there again but maybe not in hot weather!

Historical place to stay.

A beautiful building on the outside, and we were given a superb tour of the buildings, including going up the tower of the castle. From there a great view of the area can be had.
The rooms were nice and comfortable but a bit dated and absolutely everything was in German. Not even a translation of the information on how to get in and out of the hotel when the reception was closed, (which was often)! Luckily some people staying for a conference told me how to get back into the hotel.
The heating was not too warm, so staying in winter may be a bit cold. Hopefully it is turned up in late October.
The food was nice, but again everything was written in German.
The wifi was truly appalling at this hotel. For a place that prides itself on conference stays, where the majority of conference attendees will have a laptop and need to be using it for emails, this really needs to be addressed. The wifi signal was not even strong enough that I could google translate the information in my room.
In order to make this hotel a lot better, sort out the wifi and make things more accessible to people who are not fluent in German!
