Hotel(motel) mediocre, to avoid.

-Deception first on the HOTEL nomination and photo on the Booking site. This is not a hotel, rather motel see hostel. The rooms are not in the house but in the courtyard (see photo)
-The room is more a burrow, without daylight, cramped, damp without air conditioning and silk sheets.
Breakfast. No pastries, scrambled eggs to reserve the day before, 5 rolls for 3 adults. No cold cuts on the buffet or bread but presence of a breadboard with knife. If you dare to ask for 3 extra rolls plan a wait of 15mm otherwise waived.
-The photo of breakfast on the hotel website is misleading.

Guten Tag. Ihre Bewertung macht mich nachdenklich und zeigt mir wie wichtig es ist auf Reisen eine gängige Fremdsprache wie englisch zu sprechen. Schade, dass Sie weder deutsch noch englisch gesprochen haben und auch den Eindruck hinterlassen haben, dass wir uns als Hotel an Sie anpassen sollten. Sicherlich versuchen wir das auch und vielleicht wird es in Zeiten der KI Übersetzung bald besser.
Zum Frühstück: Wir arbeiten daran ein nachhaltiges Hotel zu werden. Daher backen wir lieber und öfter frisch und servieren Ihnen gerne was sie möchten. Entschuldigen Sie, wenn zum Ende der Frühstückzeit etwas gefehlt hat. Wir fragen dann immer ob noch etwas gewünscht wird und legen auch gerne nach. Und wir versuchen sogar unseren Gästen die Wünsche von den Augen abzulesen.
Zum Check in: Es ist richtig dass wir beim check-in nach den Wünschen fragen. Der gewünschten Frühstückzeit, damit die Backwaren warm und frisch sind und wir besser planen können. Hätten Sie nach Rührei Spiegelei etc gefragt wäre es just in Time fertig gewesen und hätte nicht in einer Warmhaltschale auf Sie warten müssen.
Und trotz Bewertungen wie Ihrer, lieben wir unseren Job und freuen uns immer wieder auf neue Kontakte. Wir haben die Bewertung, als konstruktive Kritik aufgenommen. Zum Frühstück haben wir probeweise Kuchen angeboten, aber ohne nennenswerten Erfolg. In Zimmer 3 wurde die Halogenbeleuchtung gegen LED getauscht.
Aber dass sie den oft gelobten Hotelgarten als Hinterhof und Zimmer 3 als Erdloch bezeichnen finde ich sehr suspekt, bin mir aber auch nicht sicher ob das richtig übersetzt wurde. Schade dass 4* Boxspringbetten Ihren Ansprüchen nicht gerecht werden.

Decent hotel, friendly staff, good value for money. Only 10 minutes by car from Phantasialand

Absolute gem of a place. Great rooms, wonderful breakfast and a real home from home feel. Off the beaten path but well worth looking into especially if you’re planning on visiting the Phantasia theme park, a 9 minute drive away.

Had a great three nights stay here.

Great hotel in a nice rural setting, very nice rooms with en-suite and very comfy at very reasonable prices, easy travelling distance to Phantasia land theme park and 20 min drive into Koln. The owners are very nice and friendly and every thing from rooms to the breakfast room is very clean. This is our second stay at this hotel and would say that we will come again.There is a little shop next to the Hotel that sells lots of things that are useful.

Vielen Dank für die schöne Bewertung.
Mittlerweile sind 6 Jahre vergangen.
Wir haben Corona gemeistert OHNE PERSONAL ZU ENTLASSEN!! und auch die Flut.
Darauf sind wir besonders stolz.
Wir haben 2mal komplett renoviert und unsere 3 Sterne behauptet:-)
Und ich glaube wir sind noch einen Ticken besser geworden:-)
