Top address in the pedestrian zone a few minutes to the congress center
Great hotel in the middle of the old town and pedestrian area, just minutes from the convention center. Room very clean and modern furnishings. Staff friendly, online check-in allows quick check-in. Nice little bar with great non-alcoholic cocktails and beers. Breakfast with very ample buffet.

Overpriced. You do not receive what you booked.
We had already booked a superior room for 2 days in May for €381.60 directly with the hotel in January. Together with the necessary parking fee of €50 at the quite distant parking garage, which was still available, the total came to €431.60, a hefty price! The red-crossed photo shows what is displayed as a superior room on both the hotel website and the portals (spacious, bright, with two floor-to-ceiling windows). That is what we booked. Upon arrival, we were assigned room 207. The other photos show this. There we found a very small, dark room decorated in black with a small window and only dim lighting. Only an open narrow rod for clothes, no space for our suitcases, no shelf, no chair, no work area, no possibility for tea or coffee preparation, no refrigerator. In short: We did not receive what was described and for which we decided to book at such a high price.
We tried to clarify the situation at the reception. On the first day, we were referred to the second day. There we were told that only 2 identical rooms were available, but not a room as shown in the photos. Nothing could be changed.
In response to my question about a partial refund, the receptionist said he could not decide that. I requested to speak with Ms. Baier. She is not available, but I can write her an email...
Is this for real? The processes in the hotel should either give the head receptionist decision-making authority or allow him direct contact with the decision-maker.
Our conclusion (despite good cleanliness and dedicated staff) is that we do not recommend the hotel due to misleading information during the booking process.
P.S.: The stress that the sticker in the elevators (photo) regarding breakfast times creates for the guests leaves an unpleasant feeling.

Danke für Ihre Bewertung. Alle angesprochenen Punkte konnten nun, wenn notwendig mit den entsprechenden Kollegen besprochen werden.
Als erstes ist mir wichtig zu sagen, dass das von Ihnen bewohnte Zimmer der gebuchten Kategorie entsprach. Wir haben innerhalb der Kategorien aufgrund der Denkmalgeschützen Fassade sehr unterschiedliche Zimmer uns somit auch Fenster. Die Beschreibung der jeweiligen Zimmerkategorie zeigt aber ein recht genaues Bild dieser Kategorie, da wir nicht alle Bilder und Details im Internet als Fotos darstellen können. Somit handelt es sich immer um Beispielbilder.
Leider hat der Kollege eine Anfrage nach einer Teilrückerstattung so nicht verstanden und hätte auch entschieden, diese nicht zu geben, da wie gesagt, die gebuchte Kategorie bewohnt wurde. Hätte es Anlass gegeben eine Erstattung zu verbuchen, kann dies hier jeder Rezeptionsmitarbeitende entscheiden, außer man ist noch in der Einarbeitung.
Er bot jedoch ein Getränk an der Bar an, welches Sie ablehnten. Somit war ohne mein zutun alles korrekt.
Es war uns aber ein Bedürfnis die Prozesse noch einmal zu besprechen und an einigen Punkten nachzuarbeiten, da haben Sie recht. Diese durchleuchten wir regelmäßig, aber vor allem bei Verbesserungsvorschlägen.
Zum Thema Parkhaus möchte ich erwähnen, dass die Preisgestaltung der öffentlichen Parkhäuser nicht in unserer Hand liegt und wir dies offen kommunizieren, dass wir über keine eigenen Stellplätze verfügen. Das angesprochene Parkhaus befindet sich ca. 4- 5 Minuten Fußweg von uns entfernt.
Der Aufkleber im Fahrstuhl soll im Sinne der Gäste wirken. Es soll dazu dienen einen Hinweis zu geben, wann es aus unserer Erfahrung heraus etwas voller wird beim Frühstück. Stress soll nicht das Ziel sein. Auch hier gehen wir nochmal ins Gespräch, um eventuell eine andere Lösung für unsere Gäste zu finden. Danke für den wertvollen Hinweis.

Super hotel, location perfect, room + bathroom very nice. Only a little storage space in the room.

The Schillerhof Hotel in Weimar:

It is very centrally located.
Negative:
A failed design by an interior designer in a black-black-gray-black color combination that feels very oppressive and sad. The small room has black walls, not even a picture, black-gray curtains, a black mini nightstand, and a black small sofa!!!
No proper lighting in the room; you can't even read a book. Very gloomy :( no ceiling light.
No shelves, no closet, not even a small dresser.
No refrigerator, minibar, or kettle, which is typical for a 4-star hotel.
Very small breakfast area with a lot of hustle and bustle; you feel like you have to reserve your spot with a towel.

Ich möchte gern kurz auf einige Punkte eingehen.
Das Design unseres Hauses ist auf allen Bildern unserer Zimmer und unseres Hauses zu sehen. Leselampen gibt es in jedem Zimmer. Wir werden überprüfen, ob diese funktionieren in dem von Ihnen bewohnten Zimmer.
Minibar und Wasserkocher stellen wir auf Nachfrage gern in die Zimmer, gehören aber aufgrund unserer GreenSign Zertifizierung nicht zum Standard, um dauerhaften Stromverbrauch zu vermeiden. Sprechen Sie uns gern darauf an.
Parkhäuser sind neben dem Hotel oder in 4 Minuten Fußweg recht nah um das Hotel verteilt. Eine Auswahl gibt es somit in unmittelbarer Nähe durchaus.
Erwähnen möchte ich außerdem, dass unser Haus nicht Sterneklassifiziert ist, da wir für uns selbst stehen und dies offen kommunizieren, welchen Service unser Haus bietet.
Das Angebot auf die Zimmerreinigung zu verzichten ist selbstverständlich kein Muss, sondern ein Angebot, was wir mit 5 EUR Gutschrift auf der Rechnung belohnen. Das wird von Gästen in der Regel gut angenommen uns als durchaus positive Geste gewertet.
Wir beleuchten dennoch alle angesprochenen Punkte von Ihnen, da es uns wichtig ist, dass sich unsere Gäste wohl fühlen und einen guten Aufenthalt bei uns haben.

Very stylish room with Bauhaus design elements. Exceptionally clean facilities, powerful water pressure, firm mattress which I like, but the pillows are too low for my liking. Service is excellent.
