A perfect hotel for us, easy check in, everyone spoke English which helped. The breakfast was amazing and very wonderful.

Were disappointed

Today doesn't suffer so well.
Service was very reserved without wishing nice Easter at the table.
Salads were not fresh, even when exchanged, the iceberg salad did not look better. Dishes were served unlovingly, the trout on deep plates, potatoes almost didn't fit on them, there was no place to cut. There was a reference to the salads again during the clearing, but again there was no apology, or possibly another gesture back. Too bad if you don't need this anymore.

Old town and modernity , a good decision

Nice hotel with friendly staff, clean and thoughtful room design, car parking nearby. A great hotel in the grown old town of Wernigerode. Home-style cuisine and an appealing breakfast , let and strive for this destination once again as a travel trip

INCONCEIVABLE BAD - definitely not recommended!

We've never eaten so badly! The name "Schnitzelhaus" promises more as it actually is. We ordered hunter's schnitzel with croquettes and liver with mashed potatoes. The food was there after a very short time - this says everything about the quality - and tasted disgusting like a deep fryer. After three bites, we've lost our appetite.
When the waitress came to clear our still full plates, we pointed out the miserable food to them: TK Schnitzel with ready-made sauce and warmed-up croquettes, liver just didn't taste like liver after all. The staff then brought in the "chef" and we also told him. We often prepare liver ourselves at home and know what liver tastes like. And what's served here has nothing to do with liver - a fried piece of something. He just turned around wordlessly and went back to the kitchen without comment... Very unprofessional! We should pay the total price, which we have not realized. We were threatened with the POLICE if we didn't. There was also no accommodation in the overall price. We don't know any restaurant where the guests are treated like this. WITHOUT WORDS!!!

Nice food but very long wait

We didn't stay at the hotel, and only had dinner here one evening. Ordered the Brockenschnitzel and the Harzer Wildgulasch, both were actually very nice but we waited well over an hour for it to arrive! We're generally pretty patient and understanding when places are busy, but this seemed excessive, in fact our food arrived so late we couldn't even order a desert because the kitchen had closed once we'd finished eating. The staff were very courteous but possibly there weren't enough of them to cope with the customers.
