High-priced golf hotel in Stahlhofen

It is an exclusive 4-star hotel on the edge of the (drained) Wiesen Lake in Stahlhofen. For the high price of $223 per double room, a double room with a balcony in a quiet location on a golf course is offered. A large wellness area with a small indoor pool rounds out the picture. Dinner is also high-priced at $25 per main course plus sides. We had Italian. Buffet - delicious but too expensive at $47 without drinks. Ambience in keeping with the sport of golf.

Rooms were old, very dated with minimal upkeeps- the mirror was totally dull, the suite layout was bad. Way overpriced for the level of amenities quality and food. Very disappointing

Beautiful hotel, great service!

Great service, very nice employees, beautiful rooms, not brand new, but stylish. The new operators are really making a great effort.

Lake or not lake?

An architecturally interesting building (Lindner) directly on the shore of a lake that does not exist (anymore). If the hotel is called Wiesensee, you involuntarily expect a lake. In fairness, it must be mentioned that there is no advertising with the non-existent lake and even reference to its absence. And yet: The "lake view" goes onto a green area of endless scrub. We learn that the lake was drained four years ago. Let him come back (maybe). In a year or two. So a hotel on the lake, on a virtual lake that is not there right now, but was there and will be there again someday (maybe). An almost metaphysical construction. Yet one notices the decline everywhere: Fewer guests, abandoned facilities, closed facilities. The hotel itself has a large SPA and a pool (with water!). You can eat, too. We had a large suite with (potential lake view). We enjoyed it.
