Good stay at Hotel Mennicken

We stayed here for 3 nights when visiting my daughter and used it as a base to visit Aachen Christmas market Lovely staff. Very comfortable beds and pillows and cozy quilts. Spotlessly clean.
Good breakfast and restaurant food is good also

I used to work for a long time at Hotel Mennicken and have a completed training as a hotel specialist. Back then, it was.

Very disappointing experience after many years of good cooperation.

A little gem

We stayed 3 nights here. Very clean and functional room. Beds were very comfy. Our room was at the back and very quiet for a good night's sleep. There was even a large bottle of mineral water (complimentary) to quench our thirst on the desk which was replenished daily. A lovely touch. Breakfast was tasty with the option of various types of eggs. We also ate twice in the restaurant and the food was amazing! The menu is very extensive and there is something for everyone. It is frequented by locals too so that is a good sign.
Staff are very friendly and hospitable.
It is easily accessible from the motorway and a short drive into Aachen.
We look forward to staying there again next year.

Friendly, cosy hotel and restaurant

Stayed here 1 night for business in the neighborhood.
Room was big, double bed, little bit dated furniture closet but not an issue for me
As my room was on some sort of a Corner the Bathroom was huge, this was a first for me in a hotel where you aren't stuck between the door and the shower when sitting on the toilet... shower was ok nice hot water, towels plenty and nice soft.
The restaurant was busy but still a good service, menu choice was plenty, even maybe too much didn't now what to order because of that, I ordered a Schnitzel with mushrooms and some fries, was very good and yummy and off course a nice bowl of ice-cream as dessert , all very good no complaints, good and swift service.

Nice stop on the way home

Stopped here on the way back to Calais from Prague. Half way and easy access from the motorway. The room was nice and the beds comfy. The restaurant was very busy with locals, always a good sign. We had a rather nice meal and were very well treated by the staff. Breakfast was good too. I certainly recommend this place and will visit again when passing this way
