Clean and convenient

Andrea and Michael offer a clean and comfortable place to stay which is close to the water and great walks, and close to town. Great personal welcome and lovely breakfast. A great personal experience that makes a nice change to hotels in city centres.

Great guesthouse with island feeling

The guesthouse has space for 6 to 8 people.
The rooms are new or completely renovated.
The breakfast has everything you need.
The hosts are really nice and are happy to give you information about what you can do.
The location is great.
Wardt is surrounded by the North and South Sea waters.
A great base for exploring the beautiful surroundings of Xanten.

Quiet family run hotel in scenic village

This is a very nice BB situated in a small quiet village Wardt near the Rhine river and close to the medieval town Xanten.
All the rooms are spotless clean. The renovated rooms have comfortable beds and separate specious bathroom with a shower. Breakfast is served by the owner with plenty of choices. Bicycles can be rent. Great location to start your cycling tour.

The nicest pension we have ever stayed in throughout Germany

We have travelled extensivley in Germany over the last 15 years and this is one of the best places, certainly the best bed & breakfast style accommodation, we have stayed at. We stayed here last year when visiting family in Xanten. The rooms were immaculate, particularly the bathrooms, very, very clean and new. The breakfast was the highlight, easily exceeding the quality of breakfasts in many four or five star hotels we have stayed at in Germany. The peace and tranquility of its location is a bonus. Not only will we stay here again, we look forward to it!

A DELIGHTFUL PLACE TO STAY

Stayed at the Kerchenhof in April 2012 for four nights. Andrea and Michael the owners were superb and made us feel very welcome. Nothing was too much bother for them and Michael went out of his way to get me a adapter plug as I had forgotten mine. The rooms were of a very good standard and the couple have made a lovely job of the whole premises. Whilst there we met the owners family and we all tucked in to coffee and cake in the bakery. Could not have asked for a better place to stay or a nicer couple to take care of us. Will certainly stay there again next time we are back.
