The Street Bar

The Street Bar is a wonderful place to unwind with friends over a cocktail. The room is pleasant, people are nicely attired and the staff are discreet. While the mixed drinks are too accurately measured on the short side, IMO, and seemed a bit watery unless neat, the house wine was delicious. Drinks run 50-65ns.

It was an expensive and most of all a fake reservation by Expedia. The hotel didnt know of any reservation. The hotel doen't have internet, no e-mail address. They only except reservations by telefon. I'll make a heavy reclamation at Expedia, once we are back from our journey through Ghana. We finally ended up in a hotel that suggested the taxi driver to us.

This hotel is awesome

Stayed at the King David not too long ago. The view from the back of the hotel is amazing. You can see so much history outside your window. The hotel itself is luxurious and beautiful. If possible, get a room with a balcony.
The breakfasts were incredible. There is so much great food I wouldn't even know where to begin. The staff was incredibly friendly. I had heard they weren't super friendly a few years ago, but the competition is heating up nearby (other luxury hotels being built) so they've definitely had to take extra measures to set themselves apart. No question that it is a pricy hotel, but in my opinion, it was worth it.
And the pool was also great. One of the better hotel pools in the city.

Simple, average level hotel.

If you searching a cheap hotel - "King david Hotel" waiting for you! :-) Good conditioned rooms, large bathrooms, quiet personal. All you need for successful business trip. OH! at a hotel British-type electric socket (3-pin). Down to Duade str. near the cross with the NewTown Rd a low-cost & low speed Internet-cafe. Very friendly local residents.
Good luck!
