Great.
We stayed in August 2024 and it was a nice surprise:) The welcome is very warm, the room is spacious, clean and has a terrace with sea views! The staff is very kind. We had a great stay and recommend this hotel!

A home away from home
We had the most incredible stay here thanks to Monica and the exceptional care and standards of this accommodation. With its excellent quality of furnishings, cleanliness, and accessibility to their fabulous bistro and phenomenal beach literally on the doorstep, this was a home away from home in paradise. We can’t wait to come back and can't recommend it enough!

Brilliant view, but!
Just returned from Agios Georgios and had a lovely time staying at Houmis studios which are right on the beach with a fantastic view. The owners did give us a very friendly welcome on arrival. The room was lovely and we did get the one we'd requested ( no. 16) on the 1st floor.
However, since the last review on TA, things have changed quite a bit and not necessarily for the better. Gone is the wood art shop which has been replaced by a small bar and restaurant with a small but apparently very nice menu ( we never ate there but had the odd drink). But unfortunately this did bring with it a lot of noise at times in the evenings from customers. There was even a huge private function one evening held for many locals which lead to a great deal of noise till gone midnight. There is no longer a weekly free bbq offered to residents or the free use of sunbeds as mentioned by previous reviewers. Instead they now have their own set of sunbeds on the beach for which they charge €7 ( a discounted price of €6 for residents although €6 is the average price anywhere else on the beach anyway). WiFi is also pretty much non existent unless you are in the bar area. During our 1 week stay, the studio wasn't cleaned at all, although the bins were emptied and towels (not sheets) were changed once. The kitchen could also have been better equipped. 1 teaspoon, 2 knives, 1 fork and a breadknife with which we used to cut up fruit.
I realise that things have changed in Greece recently and they have to find ways of improving their economy so some changes are necessary. But we did get the impression that the owners were focusing much more on the restaurant side of the business and less on the accommodation side. Also one morning the whole area had a power cut from 8 am until 1pm. We wouldn't have minded as we know this a common thing in Greece. But we found out later that this was actually a planned power switch off for maintenance and had been advertised throughout the village on lampposts etc in Greek of course so it would have been nice to have been told this earlier by the owners so we could have boiled a kettle or something before the power went off. We were really looking forward to our stay at Houmis but these small issues did make it less than perfect for us

Peaceful chilled 14 days
We have just returned from Houmis studios & apartments very rested and very brown we stayed in studio 13 big balcony lovely view biggest studio yet clean comfortable towels changed twice a week the bed only once through out our stay once more may have been nice. The owners Monica and Alex are very helpful and willing to assist with anything
The resort is very nice plenty of tavernas bars and supermarkets Blue Heaven taverna next door good food and service Delfini also good these two were our favourites. The beach is good and Monica let us use the sunbeds and an umbrella free from the studios.
Overall we had a brilliant holiday and will certainly go back ,we would have gone back in September unfortunately the dates we could go are booked, so hopefully back next June.

High Quality and Lovely Setting
We stayed in apt 15 and it was perfect for a couple. High quality finish and furnishings. Monica and Alex were lovely owners and nothing was too much trouble. The apt was spotlessly clean with facilities not often found in Greek accommodation - satelitte TV for example. The location is perfect for a quiet and relaxing holiday. Supermarket next door and Blue Heaven restaurant bordering the beach both offering a wide range of food and drinks at good prices. The beach is unspoiled and good for swimming but it does shelve quite quickly so if yiu have children you need to watch them carefully. A fantastic holiday, lovely people and excellent accommodation. We enjoyed it so much we have booked again for next year!
