Piece of paradise
The hotel is wonderful, with a fantastic beachfront location and an amazing sea view. The beach is clean and well-maintained, and the sea water is crystal clear. The hosts are extremely polite, welcoming, and helpful. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and recently renovated, with everything needed for a pleasant stay. We highly recommend it, and we cant't wait to come back again!

High potential for the property, unpleasant staff
The property has an excellent location and the rooms are comfortable all things considered (I would just have a few notes on the size of the bathroom). The real problem is the staff. The owner (the only one who talks to the customers) is not at all welcoming; in fact, she scolded us twice in a very aggressive way: the first time when we returned from the beach at 8:30 PM; we didn't even understand the reason why she was angry, since she was speaking to us in English very quickly: whether it was because we stayed past the beach closing time (since it was the first day and given that we were given hasty information upon arrival, we hadn't understood that we couldn't stay past that time) or because we entered the terrace with dirty feet (but the outdoor foot-washing tap was closed).
The second time was at breakfast: I had taken a few slices of bread and some cold cuts with the idea of taking them away to eat on the beach: I was wrong, one shouldn't do that, but it was really just 4 slices of bread and some cold cuts. The owner stood behind our table like a guard because she had figured it out, and when my partner started wrapping up the slices of bread, she verbally attacked him.
I asked for an espresso made with the espresso machine at breakfast (not the one that makes everything, from milk to tea to coffee): she made me pay a full 3 euros for it, and it wasn't good.
Breakfast starts at 9:00, and on the last day, since we were leaving at 8:00, we couldn't have it. We asked if she could prepare something for us for the next morning, but we were told no. Finally, she allowed us to take something from the buffet and save it for the next day (we took it ourselves under her stern gaze).
The entire stay was influenced by this hostility, and we weren't able to fully enjoy it. With better staff, it could have truly been a dream.
The sunset from the balcony is stunning.
There is no parking at the property, but you can often find a spot on the street or in a public parking lot.
In general, I would not recommend it.

RUDE
Went to this place and was going to eat and drink…. However…. I dared to feed the family of kittens on the sun beds l… I get that I shouldn’t have put the biscuits on the beds, was in holiday mode and didn’t think… A very brash and rude older lady came out and really told me off, I apologised immediately realising my mistake… however she continued to berate me whilst tipping the sun beds, cats in situ rather aggressively….. after my third apology I recognised this women was neither Greek or kind and compassionate after she shouted that stray cats are not business….. surely any stray animals deserves some kindness and love…. She only needed to tell me once and I would have understood, however she was just plain rude and aggressive!!! I do hope at some point in your retirement establishment you show kindness and compassion to the vulnerable!!! Happy holidays Helga

Amazing sunsets!
Dandidis Pension is very beautiful, right on the beach, in the middle of everything, but quiet and luxurious. Extremely clean (changing of beds daily!), delicious breakfast (all you need, fresh and tasty), the air conditioning is very good and in the right position, it doesn’t blow over your head. On the balcony, the view of the sunset over the sea is spectacular. The sunbeds are for free for the pension’s guests.
As lower points, we didn’t like the internet code system. You have to ask for a password and a pin for each different device you have, maybe for more times. The internet is not very good, it could be connected and disconnected for hours. The TV is very “smart” on the wall, but you can watch 12 German channels and one Italian. When I say German that means you can watch Will Smith talking in German. Nothing in English. When I asked about this, the lady owner said, "Tourists that come don't usually watch TV. " That made me feel stupid. At 44 degrees outside we always watch TV. The little shower you have out of the pension, for rinsing your feet needs a faucet that you always have to ask from the boys that take care of the sunbeds. And give it back. The lady owner is not very friendly and that makes you feel uncomfortable. For example, on the last day, I asked her to have breakfast 15 minutes earlier, because we were leaving. She answered, “Breakfast starts at 9 o’clock!”. She made us o coffee, that’s true. Then I noticed there were already butter and jam settled on the long buffet table and I asked for some bread. She went into the kitchen and came back with two little slices on a napkin. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I said, “Could I have two more slices for my husband, please?” She answered, “You said “One slice!”. “No, I said some!”. What kind of dialogue is this?! And she brought me two more slices. Exactly two.
She tries to be kind, from time to time she smiles and helps you with this and that, but it seems to be a great effort. The waiter that serves your food is much kinder and with real hospitality skills. The lady owner seems very stressed, as if her guests are like some naughty children that could destroy something if she is not careful enough.
The food at their restaurant is delicious and good size portions, but a traditional Greek dish can be 2-4 euros over the prices of the same dish at other tavernas.

Beachside pension
Just had 3 lovely days at the Dandidas pension Aghios Gordios.
Lovely room with sea view and free sun beds for guests with great service from the young lad who looks after the sun beds.
Buffet breakfast that was more than adequate and very good food was served in the restaraunt. ( can reccomended the gyros).
The host was very welcoming and both her and her husband made us feel that our custom was appreciated.
