Absolute relaxation with unique views

A wonderful room, organized and thought-out perfectly.... clean thanks to the dedication of Mrs Dora who cares for them like her home, with courtesy and kindness that characterizes her. The view of the excellent private beach and the swimming pool is breathtaking! Great holidays.... thank you very much for everything!

Sensation

Just book a Reservation at another hotel if you don't want to throw away your money.
As we got to the room and going out to the balcony I noticed a rope that closed the entrance of the pool. I contacted the reception by phone, as there was no person there and they announced that they just closed the pool because there were works on the next plot and there was dust on the surface so there were no complaints, but in the meantime the pool could be used normally if we wanted.
So when we went to the pool , we encountered a miserable situation of an abandoned pool , with sand and various beams at the bottom , and the water recycling mechanism was closed , so we had a closed and dirty pool . In the next contact with the reception while I said that I paid for this provision and it is a key criterion for choosing the hotel so that the children can play quietly, they told us that last morning began the works on the adjacent plot and at 2pm the works were finished.
Of course the projects were done at 150m away (as is shown in the photos) so the dirty pool can not be justified. When I replied that I made the Reservation at 18:30 and should have been informed he replied it is just an omission.
Then it was justified that the other customers did not complain and there is a sea below if I want which this sea all our customers come for.
The consequence of this was to raise the tones and inform us that MORE WILL the supervisor will contact us. We're still waiting.
I'm talking about a benefit that we paid and we never had and just there was an enclosed pool.
In the room now besides the ants that were there, probably because we have children gave us and the Nest of Spiderman (spider tissue with a lot of dust on it)..... Also the balcony table was broken.
In conclusion we paid a respectable amount for a dirty room and an enclosed pool.

In the middle of nowhere, off grid, peaceful but a very tired place!

My husband and I travelled from the uk to Athens, collected a hire car and drove/ferried to the island. The trip from Athens to the apartment was about 3 1/2 hours and not a bad drive at all.
The Miradouro is set in the mountains overlooking a little bay, stunning views and quite remote. This is what appealed on booking as we wanted a relaxing off grid experience for the week.
We were not disappointed on this front.
On arriving (after being awake for 24 hours and travelling for half of that time) we were shattered and looking forward to a shower and bed. Unfortunately no one was about and I had not received any instructions on accessing the key safe, that was on every apartment door.
We could not get through to the manager either, via the telephone number or email.
I contacted love holidays who I booked with, they also had trouble contacting the manager.
My husband managed to open an apartment so we were able to rest for the night.
By morning the manager had reached out and explained that she had not received my details so was unable to contact me prior to our arrival?!
Anna (manager) gave us the correct apartment and we were in.
My advice would be to contact them direct on booking so you have an email address and don’t need to “break in” or sleep in the car!
The apartment was lovely and clean, basic and a bit tired.
The bed was very comfortable however the sheet did not fit the mattress and was an annoyance!
The little kitchenette was adequate and a sponge and washing up liquid was supplied.
The actual grounds were very clean however the pool was out of use and filthy. Anna explained they had lots of rain and this couldn’t be used. The decking surrounding the pool, the sun beds and steps are all needing improvements as were tired, and broken.
A very very steep hill leading down to a pebble beach to the right and to the left was a small port and access to a little village with a few restaurants and a mini mart.
The nearest town was Edipsos which is a 5 minute drive, the thermal pools are a must! They blew my mind. A large town but not much happening, a few restaurants, shops and supermarkets.
We spoke to a local chef who explained that a great fire had destroyed the mountain areas, in 2022, and several roads are closed still and tourism is no longer thriving in the area which is a shame.
We traveled through the mountains to the main town, about 3 hours due to diversions. You could clearly see the devastation for miles and miles.
When we booked we wanted a cheap relaxing break, with stunning views, off grid and peaceful. We were not disappointed with that! We went to sleep listening to the waves gently rolling on the shore, we woke to bird song and uninterrupted views of the islands.
It was very peaceful.
The WiFi was excellent too, as nothing was close by we made dinner a few times and opened some wine and watched a film!
The positives outweighed the negatives for sure!
So in summary-
Quiet location, you do need transport to access anywhere!
Clean accommodation, basic, needs updating and a fitted sheet!! But comfortable bed! Great WiFi connectivity.
Lovely little bay, but steep incline so not great for any mobility issues.
Negatives
Pool out of service and dirty.
Not great communication on arrival
Absolutely nothing to do, tourism has taken a hit so you need to organise your own fun.
All in all a pleasant stay, we would not come again though as so many places to visit in Greece.

Disappointing, not representative of the photos

A neglected complex in an excellent area with a wonderful view and sea. Smelly bathroom with broken plumbing, old, dirty and uncomfortable furniture, creaky floors. The managers never show up and they fooled me that there was a water problem in the complex (they sent us to stay elsewhere for a night). The conclusion was that they had double-booked and they never admitted it and we were not even adequately compensated. Shame on the Hotel Brain group for being unworthy to respond to our communication efforts.

A fantastic hotel with a sea view.

Miradouro is situated on the outskirts of Ilia village and offers minimalistic rooms, balconies with a sea view, punctual cleaning crew. A huge plus is the private beach.
All in all, we would definitely sleep there again.
