Amazing

I loved the Malemi Hotel! The family who runs it is so incredibly kind, the meals were delicious, and it was so relaxing. There are plenty of places to lounge around the hotel and it’s also so close to Skala so you’re never bored. The staff was always kind and the rooms were always clean. Very peaceful and quiet.

Not Good

Just got back from the malemi hotel, At best it’s tired and a bit grubby in places!
The room was in need of completely gutting! Handles missing off the very old furniture no bathplug and shower doors that fell off every time pulled across, shower head wouldn’t fit in it’s fitting so had to have it showering the wall!
Broken plug in the sink so couldn’t have a bowl of water!
Our room backed onto the pool and had to put up with the noise of morning swimming lessons for local children!
This is sold as a family run hotel and the family are certainly a large presence in the pool! A lot of the time there was a large group of boys between 8 to 10 were being a complete nuisance dive bombing throwing each other in etc I’m all for kids having fun but this was relentless with no parental presence! Maybe one of the kids was from the hotel.
Once they moved off the bigger boys took over doing the same thing! Again not staying at the hotel!
The food a breakfast was ok but constantly having to ask for thing to be replaced!
Food at night was plain and simple served at 7pm , went for dessert at 7.45 , all gone! No replacement except Greek yogurt! We ended up next door most nights at the Pela , made to feel really welcome there with a great atmosphere!
We felt most unwelcome at the Malemi .

Basic but recommended

Looks a little dated. Large complex with many facilities. Super clean super friendly staff. Pleasant rooms. Nice swimming pool.
Good breakfast and dinner buffet.
