Paradise

What a magnificant holiday experience, rooms are spotless, cool and the bed is super comfortable. The food is delicious (the lamb and fish are a must) and service sublime We spent hours in the sea and pool with frequent breaks for cold drinks on the patio..superb..The best place for a family holiday with our sons and their girlfriends.. ❤️

Terrible experience at the Belussi Beach Hotel

For the month of August 2026, we purchased, through the eDreams platform, a 10-day stay at this 4-star hotel, breakfast included; the images published on the eDreams platform were fundamental to our choice of the property and led us to the purchase.
Upon arrival, we paid the 100 euro tourist tax, but the manager demanded a 10 euro surcharge for payment by plastic card.
We were then assigned the room:
‘Annex’ with sea view, therefore a room connected to the main building with a sea view.
The accommodation was in a building distant from the hotel with a different sign, ‘Drosia Apartments', located on the first floor with a view of another house with a sloped roof (the key also had a tag with the wording Drosia Apartments).
Spacious but old room: broken doorbell, exterior light with a loose cable, old and noisy air conditioner, exterior window with a broken lock (fixed on the 4th day), pre-war shutters, 1950s bathroom with a handheld showerhead and a plastic curtain hung with rusty chains, rusty accessories with limescale, and exposed drain pipes (there was even a sticker that said not to throw toilet paper in the toilet…) closet built into a wall with the upper part locked.
The mattresses were practically like stone, there was no drying rack for towels and/or swimsuits, towels were changed every 3 days instead of every day, the TV was peeling and hung over the third bed, no satellite channels, no safe, and no Wi-Fi. Furthermore, when turning on the air conditioning, the unit emitted a foul-smelling air.
We chose this property for its proximity to the sea, but the beach was practically nonexistent and abandoned to itself, with a few sun loungers and some umbrellas arranged on a strip of grass. Access to the sea was absolutely impractical, unlike other neighboring properties that had a sandy beach with modern wooden sun loungers and umbrellas with cushions.
The only positive note was the breakfast in the morning, even though we had to cross three houses to reach the dining room.
Our complaints to the reception manager/manager were useless, as he shifted the responsibility onto the eDreams platform.
We therefore engaged the eDreams complaints department, which, despite what was stated and documented with photographic evidence, bounced us back to the hotel manager.
(PS: during our stay, we met another unfortunate couple who purchased the stay; they reported being deceived by the images published on the platform; they also protested to the property manager and opened a complaint with eDreams)
Summary: isolated structure, if they offer Annex with sea view or similar accommodation at the Belussi beach hotel DECLINE, beach unusable, zero customer support. I would not go back.
For future hotel bookings, never again eDreams.

Avoid Avoid Avoid

Don’t dare to complain if you’re not happy with any aspect of the service.
On arrival in the early hours of the morning, there was no-one on reception to greet us, despite this 4* hotel claiming to have a 24h reception.
We sat in the reception area for several hours with our very tired 5 year old daughter and as cleaners and other staff walked through, they told us reception would open at 8am. At 8.40am, the hotelier eventually wandered in and greeted us with “good morning”. Maybe for him but not for us, and when we pointed this out and refused to say good morning back, he became very angry - shouting, banging on the desk and even shouting in our young daughter’s face at one point.
He told us we were not welcome to stay because we wouldn’t say “good morning” to him and despite repeated conversations with the travel company (LoveHolidays) we were advised to leave.
The hotelier refused to refund our money for the week we’d planned to stay there and we had to pay out for another hotel. Loveholidays initially promised to transfer our booking but they didn’t adhere to this. We were lucky to have the means to pay for somewhere else but some people might not.
On our return, LoveHolidays continually referred our complaint back to the hotelier for approval - he lied, saying we’d shouted, sworn, been aggressive to his employees and had chosen to leave voluntarily. He had no evidence to support this (and LoveHolidays actually had evidence to prove otherwise) but they always took his word over ours and refused to acknowledge his poor customer service or more importantly, refund our money.
The most awful holiday experience ever.

Very nice hotel

mid October very nice. We were among the last customers of the season. We've been upgraded. The breakfast buffet was very good..( pancakes . Fruit. Omelettes....)
What a pleasure to eat with an incredible view of the pool and the sea in the background!
The rooms were well equipped.
The friendly welcome. I recommend.
The car is necessary to enjoy freely. Bus service is very limited on the island.

For a holiday of tranquility

Hotel suitable for those who want to stay very quiet being outside the town, besides some tavern there is nothing within 4 or 5 km.
The side sea view room, with balcony, was very large, spacious, functionally furnished. The bathroom is quite small and very dated, needs a restyling... Excellent cleaning of both the room, both the bathroom, the common rooms and outdoor spaces. As well as excellent breakfast, sweet and savory; satisfies all tastes!
