My new home in Athens
Emerald Athens Hotel has quickly become my new home in Athens. From the moment I arrived, I knew I had found a special place.
After a very late arrival at 4:00 AM, I was welcomed with genuine warmth and kindness. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable, proving that hospitality here is not just a service, but a true commitment to their guests. Their friendliness and professionalism made a lasting impression and immediately turned a tiring journey into a pleasant experience.
The hotel itself is beautifully designed. The rooms are decorated with exceptional taste, combining elegance, comfort, and modern style. Every detail feels carefully chosen, creating an atmosphere that is both sophisticated and inviting.
The location is another major advantage. Situated just a short walk from Syntagma Square, the hotel offers easy access to the heart of Athens while maintaining a peaceful and relaxed environment. It is the perfect base for exploring the city.
What I appreciate most, however, is the privacy. Unlike larger hotels, Emerald Athens offers a sense of exclusivity and tranquility that makes every stay feel personal and comfortable.
If you are looking for outstanding hospitality, beautiful design, an excellent central location, and a private, relaxing atmosphere, Emerald Athens Hotel is a fantastic choice. For me, it is no longer just a hotel, it is my home in Athens.

Has to improve a few things
Emerald Hotel is a pretty new hotel in very central Athens near Monastiraki so straight in the middle of the hustle and bustle of this vibrant city. That sais we've been nicely surprised by a very good soundproofing considering the beautiful neo classical building.
We've just spent one night in this very small hotel we've discovered via the selection of Mr and Mrs Smith and actually there is a nice base but a room to improve...
We've been nicely welcomed by a very nice guy escorting us to the restaurant located in a tiny square behind hotel entrance where a refreshing welcome drink was served. It was cozy, cool and lovingly designed so we enjoyed a light lunch with a very tasty fennel salad. Service is nice, young and efficient with always a smile.
A little later, an other guy escorted us to our room, Uranus, located at tje upper floor with a very great private roof top with a large bathtub under a colorful bougainvillea, so charming. Our room was on a small side, not more than 20sq meters but we'll designed with a lovely cubicle bathroom enclosed by a glass wall... well done. Not a lot of natural light but with the heat in athens maybe its better and for fully bright time we had tjis big terrace situated up to the room.
At that stage, I would have been ready to give 4 points but we quickly.discover a certain lack of deep cleanliness. It wasn't dirty but looking at corners, you cannot feel fully relaxed neither. It's a shame because it's really kind of pretty for a short stay (no space to unpack....).
We've been also slightly annoyed by bed quality. Bed is not large, kind of memory form and pillows not up to our preferences. Consequently we didn't sleep good which is unfortunate and due to a sort of cluster. Air conditioning was not very efficient when in the bed....
In the morning we returned to restaurant where we truly love the great, generous and delicious breakfast. Absolutely excellent and very agreeable to enjoy it outside.
So yes, it's a new charming place but with issued (I also personnaly hate these fake bouquets of flowers in between floors but frankly with a few adjustments this property can be a nice selection.

Nice and cozy hotel
Nice and cozy hotel. Interior design is quite nice and has modern amenities. Amazing location in the heart of Plaka. Super convenient

Very clean and up to date room. Within walking distance of all the big sites. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The air conditioning worked great and breakfast was amazing.

Lovely boutique hotel in a great location!!
What a beautiful boutique hotel! Perfect location! Staff were just wonderful! Hara was so helpful and answered all of our questions. Our room was perfect. Huge ceilings and so many nice touches. Love the TV in the mirror!! Stay here-you wil not be disappointed!
