A Disappointing Stay: Photos Do Not Reflect Reality
The only positives aspects of this place is the staff, who were friendly and polite and the food that was good. Unfortunately, that is where the positives end.
The property advertises itself as a 3-star hotel, but in reality, it barely meets the standards of a run-down motel. What you find on-site is completely different from the polished photos shown on Booking:
Cleanliness Issues & Mold: Cobwebs in the corners, ants, and visible mold above the door and window in the room.
Deplorable Bathroom Conditions: Mold on the floor and walls, spiders, and a dirty, yellowed bathtub. The showerhead is ancient, covered in heavy limescale and mold, while the drain is filthy and broken.
Worn-Out Towels: The towels have been overwashed to the point of becoming harsh and rough—literally like sandpaper.
Lack of Maintenance: Everything is outdated and neglected, giving the impression that the location hasn't been renovated in years.
Neglected Pool & Grounds: The outdoor pool is dirty with visible mold. The pathways throughout the property are unkempt and damaged.
Unpleasant Odors: Horses are kept on-site, and there is a smell of stables in the restaurant area, making dining unpleasant.
Terrible Access Road: The road leading to the property (as well as the path inside) is completely ruined, filled with loose rocks and deep potholes. Driving the final 1.5 km takes around 15 minutes if you want to avoid damaging your car.
Regrettably, we were forced to look for alternative accommodation for the last 4 days of our trip just to actually enjoy our vacation. The conditions provided fall far short of basic hygiene and comfort standards. Would not recommend!

Wonderful
Rooms very comfortable and clean with individual outside space.
Food excellent and the service certainly came with a smile!
The riding was good and the horses sooo patient especially in the heat.
Our guide Richard was new to the role and made finding the way around the mountain tracks fun!
Our second guide Susannah was also new and very welcoming.
The weather was unexpectedly hot and there wasn’t always a place for the horses to drink.
Highly recommended
Travel from Luton to Heraklion and then a hire car was straight forward too.
