Never this hotel again
Breakfast was just the first day. Unfresh, minimal range of toppings, dry omelette and something that would represent juice. Dirty tablecloths and the whole environment where breakfast was served were unfresh. The remaining days we went out and bought breakfast.
The pool area was dirty and trashy, just like the rest of the hotel area. The water in the pool was cloudy and green and there was debris floating in the water. Full of gravel in the pool. I told the person who I think is the owner, that the pool was dirty. The answer I got was that there had been a problem with the cleaning that day. I was recommended by the hotel owner not to swim in the pool and to swim in the sea instead. We never swam in the pool and did not stay at the pool area. Children who did not stay at the hotel used the pool, played and threw balls and bathed with their clothes on in the pool until late at night.
The so-called reception was often unstaffed. Old blankets/covers on the couch, messy and messy. A washing machine stood at a corner in the reception.
On the last day of check-out, we were asked to go back to the room and collect the remote controls for the TV and air conditioning, as according to the young girl at the reception, it is part of the hotel's policy to hand them in at check-out.
Finally, I would like to say that the service at the hotel is non-existent and that the staff unpleasant. They looked at you like you were from another planet. A girl on the staff named Jiotta, was the only one who was nice.

RoomDirty, dusty and untidy room where we found used snus bags under the bed, worn closets that there were old blankets in. Old rock hard beds, hard pillows and old broken sheets. Stainy and swampy curtains that hung/were half torn down. Old and dirty little fridge. The air conditioning in the room leaked water and wet everything we had out (hair dryer, straightener, makeup, etc.) After telling, the leak was fixed by what I think was the hotel owner, by blowing a little into a hose. We had no more leakage inside the room but out on the balcony where the water just flowed right out onto the patio floor where you sat. Our clothes were left in the suitcase during the entire stay as the wardrobes were not in condition to store the clothes in. The bathroom was cleaned minimally. Stained and dirty shower doors and mold and dirt on doors and door frames. Ants in the room and in the bathroom that went on parade, back and forth.
SecurityOn 2 occasions our room was left unlocked by the staff who had been inside the room - one time after the room had been cleaned and the second time when they had been spraying the ant agent.

(Translated by Google) The only OCCEPTABLE thing is what you write here. I can't answer everything, but since you are also of Greek origin, I will tell you freely, in Greek and without hiding behind musts. I start with you saying "I think he's the owner" yes, I'm the owner and you knew it, besides you used my name without me ever telling you to have breakfast in your room on the first day, while a few minutes before I said it wasn't allowed. You also distort what I told you about the pool and say it as it suits you. I informed you that that day there was work done on the pool board and that they changed it, but the following days the pool came back and was spotless...
And to your question as to whether or not you Greeks should use it, I replied that the sea is much better than the pool that 100 people enter a day and it also has the chemicals that keep it clean... What is considered strange in this answer? Yes, the sea is better than any pool and as a Greek you should have known that.
The children in the pool were not strangers at all from the hotel you write there, basically they are my child with some of his friends, another reason why I would not let my son bathe in dirty water, just as I would not let my son or my face, but I would not eat the dirty breakfast you mention.
Yes, the buffet is small but with cold cuts from a Local Enterprise, with vegetables from Chania with plain eggs and not in a bag or frozen with juice from a Cretan Enterprise.
Don't forget that you've paid for a 3-star hotel and not a 5-star.
Besides, about the staff and the fact that they looked at you funny, I disagree with you.
I personally had to say good morning or hello 2 or 3 times for you to answer me or not, but since you came to ask me something about the pool, the city or the bus times, I don't think I've ever been rude...
Basically, you found a hotel that, if you look at the photos you made the reservation with, has many extras in addition to the one you bought. That is, the pool area is 100% different in the picture and is much better in reality, the sea at your feet with very good weather on your vacation days, the opportunity and luxury of going on vacation, it is all your fault, unjustified and without substance.

Impressive that the hotel can have 3 stars!
Impressive that the hotel can have 3 stars!
My family and I will stay at the hotel from July 22 to August 5.
On July 30th, we inform the receptionist that the pool is becoming rather awkward and that it seems like there is no circulation in the water.
In the pool there is some sand from the beach - the balls, in which guests have to bath their feet, when walking from the beach to the pool stand unclean and may be filled with water once daily, but not necessarily empty of sand and dungeons. In the pool float hair clumps mixed with other dirt that resembles snotklats. The pool water has become more and more unclear since arrival - it is not to see one's own feet on the bottom of the pool. The water surface clearly shows a shiny layer of sunscreen, insects, feathers and falls from trees and flowers. The tiles around the pool are filled with footprints and sand, and we have only experienced the tiles being cleaned sporadically here and there, but never daily all over.
The receptionist is listening and tells that they haven’t turned on the circulation all the time.
Neither I, my family nor several other guests have observed other cleaning of the pool, than a man sitting on the edge of the pool and cleaning the side of the pool right on the water edge with a sponge and green detergent.
There are different water depth measurements around the pool edge - 0.50 m, 1.00 m, 1.30 m and 1.40 m, but the pool is not roughly filled with water to the specified, and the manager argues that it is the maximum water depth - which we think is misleading.
As we alert the receptionist to the impurity, she calls the hotel manager (Tina) who will talk to us on July 31.
We can hardly repeat our observations before the hotel manager interrupts and tells us that the hotel staff is doing their job, that the pool is cleaned every day, that there has been a lot of wind in the last few days, why there are plant falls and guests themselves have a responsibility to keep the pool clean. We partially agree that guests have a co-responsibility and should follow the rules of the pool, but the overall responsibility for a clean and well-maintained pool is the hotel’s.
We state that our intention is not to discuss but merely to draw attention to the many impurities and that cleaning the pool would be preferable. But the magager says that "we must understand", after which she calls her husband, as she believes we should see evidence in the form of video surveillance from the last 10 days of cleaning the pool.
The manager does not under any circumstances act listening or at least a little humble.
We never see the so-called "evidence", but we didn't have a need for it either, since we knew what we had observed since our arrival and since we had stayed on the chairs from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and evening.
The next two days (July 31st and August 1st) will be cleaned a little more and the circulation will be seen running a little more often, so the water is barely as blurred as before.
D. On August 3, the water in the pool has become completely clear, but until our return date on August 5, there is still plenty of sand on the bottom and liquid hair clumps. The vacuuming of the pool still does not happen daily, and if it happens, it happens during the daytime, when hotel guests have access to the pool. The vacuum cleaner is not automatic, so the swimming pool man has to physically move around with the vacuum cleaner and bar, and most often the tube and bar are put in the pool, after which the swimming pool man goes his way - then it may look like it is being cleaned.
About the rest of the hotel can be said:
The rooms are ok, but the beds are very tough - it seems like there is a wooden plate in the mattress.
There is no dry stand for hanging wet clothes, so here you have to be creative.
Breakfast is ok - bread, eggs, porridge, fruit and vegetables.
The bar is ok, but the possibility of serving snacks (smaller meals) closes already at 14.30, which is very early, given that dinner is generally served first and eaten late at the surrounding restaurants.
The beach is clean and delicious, and is in the extension of the pool area - however it costs 10 euros for 2 sun loungers and an umbrella on the beach.
Around the pool there are 30 sun loungers, which every morning from 7 a.m.
For us, Hotel Haris is not worth a visit and we may be surprised by the 3 stars that the hotel has, but it must be due to the location of the hotel.
