Stylish boutique hotel with wonderful hospitality
We stayed at this hotel for one night during a recent visit to Crete for our Honeymoon.
The quality of the renovation on this historic property is outstanding. As a boutique hotel the owners have invested their funds into creating an exceptional experience for guests. Every detail in the rooms and communal areas is so tastefully done - stylish and contemporary.
We arrived at the airport and our pre-arranged transfer was there ready and waiting. It only transpired mid-journey that it was in fact the owner George driving us! He is absolutely outstanding as a hotelier and you can tell that he cares so deeply about hospitality and all the guests who come through his doors. He had even gifted us a nice bottle of wine for our honeymoon - although admittedly we were too tired to drink it, but the gesture was a very lovely and welcome one.
Breakfast was, again, very tastefully done - served on a tiered stand in a 'Afternoon Tea' type format. All delicious. The room is enveloped by greenery and has a retractable roof for the summer months, a lovely setting to start the morning.
We only stayed one night as we were spending the rest of the week at the newly opened IKOS Kissamos but would definitely consider staying longer in the future. We would suggest the hotel as a good base to explore Chania for a few nights which itself is a very lovely place to visit.
The hotel also offers exceptional value for money. We couldn't believe the room rate also included breakfast.
Thank you again George and team for your superb hospitality. A perfect start to our honeymoon!

Amazing!
What an incredible experience! This is without a doubt the best hotel we have ever stayed at.
From the moment we arrived, we were impressed. The hotel is truly beautiful: quiet, with breathtaking architecture and exceptional finishes down to the smallest details. The rooms are without a doubt the most beautiful we have ever slept in – stylish, luxurious and with an unparalleled sense of comfort and design.
But what really makes this place unique is its people. The staff does not feel like staff, but like a warm family. Everyone was incredibly friendly, genuine, authentic and helpful. You really feel here that hospitality comes from the heart.
Our stay has exceeded all our expectations. Everything was phenomenal, from start to finish. It's rare for a hotel to leave such a lasting impression, but this place absolutely did.
We will be back without a doubt. An absolute must for anyone looking for an exceptional experience!

Our honeymoon stay at the Nearchou was perfect. The airport pickup was smooth and easy for us, the room was clean and personalized to make us feel uniquely welcome. The wifi was fast, the AC was perfect, and we loved the five star breakfast. My only not on breakfast was that we didn't have enough room for the three courses! Overall the staff was so friendly, and there were a ton of multi-lingual staff. The location itseld is gorgeous, and if you stay in late may, you will see the most gorgeous purple flowers in full bloom along the Nearchou street. We were a brief 10 minute walk into downtown Chania, making our stay without a car easy as can be. I am so glad we chose the Nearchou for our honeymoon!

If you're visiting Chania this is a must to consider especially if you are planning to do day trips and have a rental car. Parking in the city core is incredibly difficult. Beautiful room in a quite hotel. The staff is incredibly helpful and go above and beyond. Highly recommend.

Best place in Chania
This was the first time at this hotel and it exceeded my expectations. I was picked up by the owner George. He was very nice and friendly. Upon arriving, I had been in contact with Alexandria from the hotel. She answered all of my questions in a timely manner. The room was a great size. Anything I needed they quickly provided it to me. For breakfast, the food was amazing and Tammy was absolutely exceptional and very very nice, kind, friendly and also helped by providing me with information on things to do during my stay. She gave me great directions to the farmers market. Room was cleaned everyday. It was about a 10 mins walk to the city center and very easy to walk to. When I return in the future I will definitely be staying here
