Nice family owned hotel
We had a little problem finding the place, we came from Klisidi beach direction and there was a very bad road and no signs. I called the owner and she very kindly gave me the directions. The road is well marked and good from the town Lefkogeia. It was our navigation's fault. The apartment was big and clean, the shower small, as it is usual in Greece, a lot of parking spaces. The owners were very nice, but only one girl speaks English well. We had breakfast and it was ok, it was served and I noticed that the couple that stayed there for a week also got some vegetables, but we didn't. We stayed there only for one night. :-)
On our check out there was a problem because the money was taken from my bank account but not transferred to the owner's, so we had to wait for about half an hour, but it certainly wasn't their fault. All in all the stay was fine. There is a beach right there if you want to just relax, or you can go with a car visit some near by places.

Irenic Cretan Hotel
Stayed with family and 2 small kids for two nights . Walking distance from a pebbled beach draped in turquoise pristine waters. Family operated and owned . Our 3 bed room was clean and had a small fridge as well . We ate at the hotels restaurant where the dishes were traditional greek . Sumpto delicious, prepared by the family daily and well priced. The hotel grounds were well tended . immaculately clean quarters and sincerely friendly staff.
We will return soon to stay and relax longer . Ideal place for contemplative peaceful moments. Thank you Ammoudi Hotel and Staff.

The near by pebbled beach is organized with fresh water to shower off the salty waters . The cost of a set of two new beach chairs inclusive of the umbrella is - 10 euro .

so bad..
we went there and the place was so beautiful but the hotel so..bad
if they ask you if you want breakfast.. just say NO!
you will take a much better price, avoiding to wake up for no.. reason..
these people they speak only Greek..
so.. if you want to communicate.. good luck!
be carefull with the charge.. they wanted to charge us more than what we had agreed..

Nice, small and tranquil beach hotel - highly recommended
This is a quaint and charming beach hotel which is located just outside the village of Plakias. The hotel is in a small valley with a little river running next to it. It is also off the main road so there is no through traffic. The hotel has a paved road which runs 100m down to a quiet little beach (not surprisingly called Ammoudi Beach) which at the time of our stay, in October 2009, was only populated by a handful of people. Ahh the beauty of having personal space on a beach like this!! We Australians dont like big crowds. We were the only people on the beach at 9am in the morning and we had an amazing swim in the crystal waters.
The rooms were spacious, clean and each had a balcony. The hotel is only small so not much noise. The hotel is 5km to Plakias - we drove in and had a really nice dinner in the town and came back to the hotel. The breakfast was decent - my tip...get the Frappe/Iced Coffee!!! Basically, this charming little place is exactly what we were after. Prices were lower than hotels in Plakias.

Abgelegenes Hotel, nichts als Ruhe, Ruhe, Ruhe!!!
Wir sind Wiederholungstäter, nicht zum ersten Mal kehren wir in diesem Low-Budget-Hotel ein. Es gibt keinen Luxus hier, und die Einrichtung ist eher spartanisch, aber es ist sauber, das Bett ist bequem, es ist sehr ruhig und der Ausblick ist in alle Richtungen phantastisch. Berge, Meer (von der oberen Etage aus gen Süden) und viele Strände sind fußläufig erreichbar. Unten am Ammoudi-Beach gibt es eine kleine Kantine, die leckeren Salat und Pitas serviert, oder ein kühles Bier... ein paar Hippies verweilen hier den Sommer über mit ihren VW-Bussen, weil es einfach so schön hier ist. Wem klar ist, dass es hier keinen Luxus zu erwarten gibt, der wird eine magische Zeit hier verbringen. Ruhe und nichts als Ruhe. Magisch:-)
