NIGHTMARE PLACE!! AVOID IT!

This place is a dump.
We are a family used to traveling across Europe and South America, and never—not even once—have we stayed in such a horrible place (not even in remote areas of the Andes). When we arrived, they offered us a basement—nothing like the rooms with balconies shown in their listing. The place was a dirty, broken basement full of live and dead insects, leftover food from previous guests, and unusable air conditioners that were bizarrely installed in the wall shared with the neighboring room (utterly unimaginable). There were exposed electrical outlets with wires sticking out, holes in the ceiling drywall, holes in the floor, and open drains from which cockroaches the size of elephants came in day and night—not one or two, but dozens, running through the kitchen cabinets and everywhere, just as happened to us.
We immediately notified reception and asked to change rooms due to the filth in the first basement, but they moved us to the one on the opposite side. We ran away at 10:00 PM after discovering that the second basement was even worse than the first. On top of the cockroach and insect invasion, the post-war air conditioner had never been cleaned and didn’t even blow cool air. There were no mosquito screens, the furniture was broken and falling apart or missing parts (like drawers), wires were hanging down with metal showing, and the outlets were broken.
We had two small children with us, aged 5 and 2. Not even when we returned the next day to pick up some food items we had forgotten did they offer us a refund. We had booked for four nights and paid quite a bit—half was charged directly to our credit card and was non-refundable, the other half was due at check-in. At the very least, they could have refunded the second half since we didn’t even spend a single night there. When we spoke to the manager again, his response was simply: "Take it up with Booking."
Meanwhile, we saw other guests coming down the stairs smiling—that’s when we realized the trick they’re playing. Regulars probably get the upper-floor apartments, maybe renovated, while everyone else gets the dumps. This is clearly backed up by the numerous negative reviews—past and present (including those posted during the days we were there, so we can personally confirm all the bad ones!).
Everyone at the port knows the place: how dirty it is, how they love to play these little games just to take your money, and how little they care about negative reviews from foreigners, assuming we won’t return to the island.
They're wrong. We run a business ourselves and understand this well: for every happy customer, you might gain 10 more. But for every lost customer, you lose 20.
Clearly, the manager here hasn’t figured that out yet.
He knows exactly how to twist things, how to push you out and keep your money, and how to make you believe Booking will fix it.
Of course, Booking issued a pathetic refund, and we’re still wondering how they can continue working with this place—a property that should not even be allowed to operate due to how run-down, unhygienic, and unsafe it is for guests' health and safety.
A nightmare of a place—unimaginable... and it’s not just us saying this.
Read the reviews, and you’ll see countless others confirming the same.

Terrible and dangerous

Unfortunately, our stay at this hotel was a complete disaster. The room was extremely dirty and had a strong unpleasant smell from the moment we walked in. Even worse, we encountered more than 15 live cockroaches crawling around the floor, bathroom, and near the bed — absolutely unacceptable and disgusting.
To make things worse, the bathroom had no door at all, offering zero privacy, and everything felt unhygienic and neglected. We left the hotel immediately after seeing the condition of the room.
This is not just poor hospitality — it’s a serious health hazard, and I honestly hope the authorities take action. I would never recommend this place to anyone, especially families or international travelers.

Terrible experience

Dirty rooms, indecent bathrooms, one of which is practically unusable, a room for 5 with 4 beds and a camp bed with a very dirty mattress. The room was located in the basement (at the height of the car exhaust) and you couldn't even open the windows.

Let it go.

Old and run down structure.
Large and relatively clean room.
Air conditioning and refrigerator are very noisy, bring earplugs if you want to sleep.
Poor breakfast service.
Narrow and crowded beach with families and campers.
They do not provide umbrellas or sunbeds.
On any coast in southern Italy you would find much better, it's not worth coming here
