Not so happy
WiFi is not present anywhere except the reception and they don’t seem to care to fix it , everything is overpriced buy anything you need before getting there , also you have to double check what you pay because mistakes happen , in camper places the ground is uneven they could fix it but no and in most of them the the bushes and trees are not pruned with a result to scratch the vehicle if you try to park or park in the middle and then have space not even enough to open your door and place a chair! I complained and after three days I stayed nothing happened, their excuse was that the period of campers is almost over …..
same things from my last visit two years ago !

⭐ 1 star – beautiful beach, but campsite disappointing
Simos Beach itself is incredibly beautiful – the nature and the beach are truly impressive. Unfortunately, the campsite as a whole could not convince us at all, so we ended our stay earlier than planned.
Positive aspects to highlight are the very friendly staff at the reception, the well-stocked minimarket, and the generally well-maintained sanitary facilities. However, for example, the soap dispenser in the women's restroom was empty.
There is no reservation option for a camper van. On site, we also had little to no opportunity to get a shaded spot. Our pitch had more the character of a gravel parking lot. Particularly unpleasant: Dog feces were scattered all over the entire gravel area. We reported this to the reception. In response, it was explained to us that other guests would not remove their dogs' feces. That may explain the cause – however, the question arises as to who at a campsite ensures that such messes are subsequently removed.
The site was also completely overcrowded. The beach was also correspondingly crowded. Different groups were each playing their own music at a volume where you could sometimes also clearly hear the music of the next group. In addition, there was a large accumulation of trash on the beach, including broken beach umbrellas, camping chairs, and other abandoned items.
The restaurant was also a big disappointment for us: very disinterested and unfriendly staff. If you don't speak Greek, you also feel quite lost there.
A shame, because Simos Beach and the landscape are dreamlike. That is precisely why we had been looking forward to this stay so much. For us, the overall package of overcrowding, pitch situation, cleanliness issues, trash, and gastronomy unfortunately did not work out.
The beach gets 5 stars from us – the campsite, due to the mentioned circumstances, unfortunately only 1 star.

INCURRENCY
Unbelievable beach yes!!we knew where we closed and why!!what we didn't know though, is that the towel is the same for three days, the health papers are two and the garbage you take out!!
And many other things that I am bored to write. also something last depon, thermometer has not ..was dead..on the other hand we enjoy bathing in the sea. Disappointment for the girls at the reception, though you'll tell me to execute orders.

Fabulous sea, but the rest……
The sea is the main attraction, otherwise everything else is truly mediocre. They aren't pitches, but camper spots with a tarp that provides shade. Cold showers and the water is not drinkable, so you have to use bottled water for both cooking and giving water to animals. Fantastic beach, but a crazy crowd of people with music blasting all day long. Market and campsite very expensive. Years ago it was truly something else. If they don't set some rules, in a few years it won't be possible to go there anymore.

simos camping evaluation
I have been visiting Camping Simos for 17 consecutive years, so my opinion is based on a long experience and not on a single visit.
Unfortunately, this year I felt that the quality of the services had declined compared to previous years. What impressed me most was the cleanliness of the common areas. In the past, no matter what time you went to the bathroom, they were always clean. This year this did not happen systematically, which for an organized camping is very important.
Also, umbrellas on the beach increased from 15€ to 25€. The price includes two cafes, but when I asked if there was any alternative for those who don’t drink coffee (e.g. juice, water or other beverage), the answer was essentially that there was no choice. I think a little more flexibility and willingness to serve would make a big difference in the visitor experience.
More generally, the feeling I gained was that hospitality and service did not have the warmth I remembered from previous years.
Nevertheless, the location remains unique and the beach of Simos is one of the most beautiful in Greece. Just because I love this camping and have been choosing it for so many years, I really wish it to give again the attention it needs to cleanliness, service and the overall experience of the guests.
So your criticism is more credible, because it recognizes the positive, while explaining clearly what has changed and why it disappointed you.
