Lovely authentic place in a charming village

We had a lovely 5 night stay here. This a high value for money place to stay at and very authentic. We came straight from a 5***** al inclusive resort and enjoyed the relaxed vibe and local village. There are a few local tavernas in the village all lovely, authentic and very affordable. You enjoy your food under the trees. The restaurant at the hotel was also excellent. The prices were so good and the food so great that we didn’t bother to make lunch etc ourselves. The pool bar is nice and is under by a big tree, very charming. Drinks and produce are all of high quality and you can get branded drinks.
The hotel manager takes very good care of you and always checks in several times a day.
One evening there was what appeared to be spontaneous dancing and Greek music, which we and the Italian guests enjoyed. They also served some nice shots on the house. They taught us how to dance and it felt very authentic and not like the more staged “Greek experiences” we have experienced other places. Loved it and it was one of the highlights of my stay in Crete this time around.
Breakfast is simple, but nothing to complain about.
The rooms are super clean and have everything you need. We stayed in a 2 bedroom with sharing pool. The sheets and towel provided were also super clean and there was as daily housekeeping which we found lovely at this price aa
Although the rooms have modern facilities and comforts, all around the hotel you will find beautiful antiques and charming details.
I strongly recommend to stop by here and experience to calm and authentic Crete, even for one or a few days. But rent a car beforehand because there are no taxis or rental companies nearby.
The hikes are supposedly nice, but we were traveling with small children, so didn’t explore this.
Thank you to the staff for making this a great experience for my family we would definitely come back.
We only met nice and welcoming people in this village. There is also a cute deli run by a 85-year old woman who makes everything herself.

Beautiful and quiet hotel in the mountains

You can really relax here.
Very well-maintained hotel with very nice staff.
The room has a balcony, an in-room safe, as well as clean and comfortable beds.
There is a beautiful and large pool and plenty of free parking spaces.
You can also eat very well at the hotel.
We would book this hotel again immediately and can recommend it with a clear conscience.

Quiet and quirky. Everything one needed. Excellent for hiking trips. One needs a car. Very good breakfast.

Somewhat misleading photos compared to the state the hotel/ apartments are actually in. Felt quite run down in some areas. Dirty area around the pool. Apartment smelt of smoke, was dirty everywhere, and the aircon didn’t really work. It was fine for a 1 night, but any more than that and you are better off finding somewhere else.
