Very comfertable and relaxed!

The view is perfect, the house small but big enough for 4, the area around the house and around the pool is spacious and so is the pool itself. Walking distance to Gaios, ideal! I loved the sound of boats coming and going in the nearby port.

Total misrepresentation

We arrived to the ferryport of Gaios and there was noone to meet us and noone knew where is Blue Horizon. google maps took us on a long walk in the heat up a hill with busy traffic and no pavement to a villa complex marked Paxos Magic. An elderly couple kindly gave us water and said we were at the right place but didnt know where we were staying . The help number for the resort was a message system and noone answered. the couple managed to phone someone else on another number and a long time later we were shown to a poky basement flat . We had booked a honeymoon suite . This would be grounds for instant divorce. The owners said we hadnt specified we wanted an upstairs or bath or sea view so we didnt get them even though all the photos show these being available and it is not made clear that these photos belong to other much nicer villas . It also says it is 350 m from Gaios wheras it is 1.5km up a busy road with very little lighting . W e complained that this was not what wed booked but the owners said there was nothing they could do and refused to either move us , compensate us or offer any real explanation as they kept insisting they were in their rights to totally mislead and pretend the photos wer of this awful dark basement. We were told there was continental breakfast but there isnt -its self service and the nearest shop is 2 km away . without a car this is difftcult. They dont provide anything I would never recommend thisplace . The owners didnt want to know. One man Simos kindly tried to help us but he couldnt do more We were very unhappy which is a shame as Paxos is absolutely lovely but dont stay here. There are much cheaper and more honest places

Relaxing holiday in beautiful Paxos

We had a really great holiday in this villa and would happily return. Without a doubt, the best features are the outside area, pool and the location.
The outside area is actually bigger than it looks in the pictures & is very nice- clean, well maintained, good shaded areas and plenty of comfy seating. The views out across the bay are stunning. The pool is large & clean- perfect water temperature in July too! The villa itself was clean, functional and worked well for us, although some parts are a little dated, which I think the pictures reflect. The kitchen is very small and not easy to cook proper meals in, but there is a big bbq & pizza oven outside which we enjoyed.
The villa is in a great location- set back from the quiet road up a fairly steep slope & not overlooked at all. The hillside location gives fantastic views & a nice breeze. The only downside (maybe because of Covid) was that there wasn’t a welcome pack on arrival at all- nothing. After a long day travelling it meant we had to go straight out to get a drink & something to eat and then go straight to the supermarket (they do free delivery) in the morning to get the basics. This wasn’t a problem as our girls are older, but might be more difficult if you’ve got really young children who arrive tired & hungry. It is just a pleasant 15 min stroll down through the harbour into town, where you get to gawp at the super yachts & sailing boats- we can dream!! The town of Gaios was lovely. Enough life & atmosphere to keep our teens happy, but without any tacky tat! There’s plenty of restaurants to choose from & some lovely cocktail bars along the harbour front- thankfully no ‘English pubs’ or similar!! There’s also a couple of good supermarkets, bakeries & butchers & lots of souvenir type shops for kids. The nicest feature is that the pretty town is mostly all pedestrianised so no traffic noise or cars to dodge.
The island is green, hilly & peaceful. We did a few v hot & sweaty walks & were rewarded with beautiful views, peace & quiet and pretty bays to cool off in. The beaches are all pebble, which we quite like, but swimming shoes would’ve been useful.
There’s some lovely places to visit- we went to Antipaxos, Ben’s Bar & Mongonissi as well as walking across to the views on the west coast. All lovely. We all agreed it was one of our favourite family holidays and were very sad to leave.

Perfect outdoor space

We stayed in Villa Dimitri, the villa itself is lovely, although the bathrooms are clean and functional I think maybe they could do with updating. However, the outside area is outstanding, the pool and grounds are fabulous, large and well maintained. The master bedrooms air conditioning is rather noisy so we couldn’t use it during the night. The views from all three balconies are stunning. There’s a lovely young woman who came to the villa every day to clean. Breakfast is included but it is quite basic with no drinks (juices, tea or coffee). I thoroughly enjoyed my 8 night stay here.

Almost great.

Great welcome at the ferry port by Alexander.
He drove us the approx 300 yards to the property. It is uphill so we appreciated the lift in 90 degree heat!
The Villa is lovely. Split into 2 apartments. Upstairs and downstairs. Each have their “own side of the pool”.
Externally the Villa is outstanding with plenty of space and a fabulous pool with even more fabulous views of the sea.
Internally it was spacious. Bathroom door didn’t close properly.
Our welcome pack comprised of a bottle of water. The deal includes breakfast but not tea or coffee, however you can buy coffee pods for the machine. Breakfast without drinks?? Trivial but hey it’s a high standards place.
15 min walk into town. It’s a pleasant one.
