What an absolutely spectacular hotel
With the kindest friendliest most professional staff. Beautiful pool. Great location. Superb breakfast. A perfect 10/10. We will be back!!

We booked our stay months in advance of our trip. Yet when we arrived at 11pm at night (my wife, I, 2 children and the Mother In Law we were told the room wasn’t ready(?!) and they would have to put another bed in a different room so we could all fit in. That led to a half hour delay (not welcome at that time of night with young children) and worse still we would have to move rooms the next day…hotel is good for a city centre location, but that really poor start left a bad taste in the mouth….

The pool is just superb, the breakfasts are very hearty, the best of the best.
I came with my daughter who is diabetic, they managed the insulin.

Galaxy Hotel with it’s best employee

We had the pleasure of staying at the Galaxy Hotel in Heraklion, and this trip will always have a very special place in our hearts because we got engaged during our stay.
The hotel itself is fantastic. The rooms are modern, clean, and comfortable, the pool area is beautiful and relaxing, and the location is perfect. Everything is within easy reach, making it an ideal place to stay while exploring Heraklion.
What truly made our experience unforgettable, however, was the amazing staff—especially Joanna at the reception.
From the very first day, Joanna welcomed us with the warmest smile and made us feel like more than just guests. She made us feel at home every single day with her kindness, positive energy, and genuine care.
During our engagement, Joanna went above and beyond to help us. She supported us with special requests and even helped with things that we believe were far beyond her regular responsibilities. Her dedication, thoughtfulness, and willingness to help made one of the most important moments of our lives even more special.
What impressed us the most is that you can truly see that Joanna loves taking care of her guests and does her job with all her heart. People like her are rare. She is professional, compassionate, and genuinely passionate about making every guest feel welcome and valued. She is a true asset to the Galaxy Hotel, and we sincerely hope her outstanding work is recognized because she absolutely deserves it.
We would also like to thank the wonderful lady working the night shift from July 27th to July 31st. She was incredibly kind, spoke several languages, and was always welcoming and helpful whenever we needed assistance.
A heartfelt thank you to the entire team at Galaxy Hotel—and an especially big thank you to Joanna. She made our stay unforgettable, and we will always remember her kindness.
