A great small hotel.

Poseidon is a great place to stay. Located right on the end of the suburb right above the Heraklion port with a beautiful scenery from our room. Very clean with an excellent service. Very friendly people.

ESSENTIAL

I only stayed there one night, due to the return flight, I found it essential, i.e. ideal for the use I needed, the room was small, shower with curtain and fairly small bathroom. But again, for one night it's more than fine. its strong point is its location, ten minutes by car there is the Palace of Knosso, 5 minutes you can easily arrive both in the center of Heraklion, very lively full of locals and youth, and in the very beautiful old port.

Great views from Balcony

Stayed here twice in August and September in 2 different rooms. The first room on the 3rd floor at the front of the hotel had great views of the harbour and the boats coming and going and a great place to top up the tan, the Second on the second floor was on the side street so had a restricted view from the balcony. Comfortable rooms, fridges and TVs, hot showers and powerful air con. Very helpful staff who showed us a great local tavern, Vardis with fab food and entertainment. They also printed off the bus timetable for us to get to our next hotel. Very impressed overall.

A warm moment

This hotel is very well located, it is close to Heraklion airport which is convenient. The room was clean with a large balcony which is always nicer. The staff is warm and smiling. They recommended restaurants and places to go in Crete. It was a very good meeting ☺️

Good choice for being close to airport, port and downtown at a fair price

Liked · Nice and helpful staff. Good walking distance to ferry terminal, even with luggage. Many good restaurants in walking distance. Even the city center is in walking distance (~20min). We liked the port view from our balcony. Clean and a well working AC and fridge.
Disliked · Occasionally there is some smell from the exhausts of the big ships in the port. Starting airplanes will pass right over the hotel (at around midnight it stops, so sleeping was not an issue).
