Brilliant hotel.
Absolutely brilliant hotel. The food was so plentiful and fresh. So much choice for both breakfast and evening meal. We never used the hotel for lunch as the pool bar food was excellent too. We ate there every lunch we were at the hotel. Drinks choice was great too. Branded soft drinks that the kids could help themselves too and ice cream. I found all the staff to be nothing but friendly and helpful. Everyone was working so hard to keep the restaurant clean and stocked up. The manager was always visible too- even helping in the bar serving ( and answering my sons question about how many watermelons they use a day! ). We had a garden view room- right by the smaller pool, so perfect for the kids to go back and forth, so very quiet at night too, with not being in the main hotel. Air con was amazing throughout the hotel/ bar/ rooms. The location was great too. 2 supermarkets right outside. A 2 min walk to the beach via an underpass so you could take drinks there too. Rocky beach in parts, but still spent a full lovely day there with the kids. Taxi rank straight outside - taxi to rhodes was 10 euros. Walk into Ixia was about 15 mins- plenty of bars/ restaurants and shops there too. I genuinely couldn't fault the holiday- and will definelty come again!

Positives
Lovely, modern clean hotel. We stayed in superior sea view room on 7th floor which was spacious, air con and lovely big walk in shower.
Staff polite and helpful
Big variety of food at every meal time and snacks available in between.
Nearly always got a table together as a group of 7
Two supermarkets close by
10 min taxi ride into Rhodes old town which is beautiful
Negatives
Sunloungers - people were literally leaving towels out overnight! Its the worst hotel I have been to for sunbeds. The hotel really needs to address this by either putting the sunbeds away each evening or removing towels before 6 am. Its ridiculous and sadly you will not get a sunlounger if you wait until much after 6am. There is limited space to lay a towel down on some grass so if you dont get a lounger the only option is sitting in the pool bar.
Food - whilst the meals were good, we travelled with a child with a peanut allergy. I contacted the hotel numerous times before booking to check if they could cater for this. With re assurance that they could, we booked. However we arrived to realise my daughter could not eat any of the dessert options which we expected but she was not offered any alternatives apart from the first night only where they made her a creme brulle - which I appreciate but they did not make any effort to ask her what she likes or discuss what they could offer. The a la carte meal was a real let down for all of us but especially the child with the peanut allergy. None of us were asked what we wanted for starter or dessert and the starter in particlar was really bad. The child with the peanut allergy was initially given a chocolate brownie & ice cream which was then removed and replaced with rubbish tinned fruit cocktail - which was really upsetting for a child. I really would not go here if you have a child with a peanut allergy, adults dont mind missing out as much I suppose but its much harder for kids.

Wonderful Holiday
We have just returned from a week here at this hotel. Family of four and nanny and grandad. When we first arrived we wondered where we were going as entrance seems to be round the back of the hotel. But once in looks lovely. This is a much smaller complex then we were used too. Check in good Beautiful Rhodes, amazing old town and lovely hotel, sad to be home but back to reality, such lovely staff on reception and throughout the hotel. We had a superior sea view room which was lovely and modern. We were on the end of the block so could sometimes hear generator in morning but no problem and was only a short time if we did. The hotel and grounds are very clean. The food was lovely yes busy as all Inc but if you sat outside the noise was gone. The only complaint we would have about the hotel would be the towels in the room are not great. They could do with all being renewed. The pool towels you hire didn't look great either but we took lots of micro fibre ones of our own as didnt want to payout the hire fee so glad we did. The hotel needs to address this as it lets it down imo. Sunbed wars yes but always the same in the school summer hols I've always had to get up early wherever we have been. But we just left them on overnight if we needed beds the next day. As others were. (We don't like to do this but had to join in so we could sit together). We had a wonderful holiday and good location so close to Rhodes town a must visit and even more stunning lit up at night. Lindos was also a highlight climbing to the top of the acropolis be prepared to sweat hotter there was 42 when we went as no breeze at all ! All staff so friendly and work so hard in the heat. All willing to help with whatever you need. Managers great too. Also entertainment yes same everyday but good fun and just enough each day if you want to join in. Maybe could be more for adults on an eve. But we liked to sit and play games together on the beautiful terrace or very modern main bar.

5 Star Family Holiday
We have just returned from a week a Sol Cosmopolitan in Rhodes and it has been fantastic. The hotel is lovely and clean and staff are all really friendly and efficient. The food is really good with plenty of choice for breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner with very little repetition. The pools are great, especially the pirate ship splash park which my two kids loved. Sunbeds around the pool are a premium and people get up in the early hours to reserve one so set an alarm if this is important to you. The beach across the road is a mix of sand and pebbles so shoes are a must. The hotel has a section of free sunbeds and umbrellas for guest use on the sandy part of the beach. The sea is ideal for watersports so can be a little rough if its windy and the seabed is quite steep. At 6ft 4in I was out of my depth after wading 8-10 meters. Ixia has a wide range of shops, a pharmacy and restaurants all within walking distance of the hotel. Rhodes old town is a 10-15 minute bus ride and is a MUST visit. The hotel arranged bus cost 28 euros return for a family of 4. Our holiday was arranged by easyjet and our flight, transfers and customer support were faultless. If you have booked this hotel, then you are in for a great stay. If you are considering this hotel, then I cannot recommend it enough.
