The definition of we don't want kids in our hotel only

Defining we don't want kids in our hotel only CAPPY! It is sad how badly we were treated from the first moment we arrived at the hotel! While I had been to the past with my wife years ago I suggested to the team that we went to play matches in Kalamata with the basketball academy to stay in the hotel since it is not so far in the center and it will be more distant to have and a little of our quiet as an academy I informed before we book the rooms which we previously paid one and a half months before the whole amount of payment and the four days of our stay unknown but maybe a plan because if we had not paid we would have gone to some other hotel after this miserable behavior and after many problematic things we found there such as rust columns in their base in the pool to get children directly scratching! The point is that we saw a lot wrong but we did not bring it up!We were mostly interested in having a better treatment which was unacceptable! I don’t get used to making bad criticism because it’s someone else’s business and I don’t want to play with someone else’s work as Karma, but now I try to protect other parents and people from getting involved in this cycone that we’ve messed up with!An example of all this is that we went to breakfast at the end of the hour, i.e. it ended at 10:30 and we went at 10 and ate alone in the saloon without other couples or other tenants. We talked about surreal situations and in the end we talked with the owner Mrs. Rula Rania and told us that everything was fine and fine and nobody did anything and she loved the kids and that they had no problem! Only to retirees but they can still make an observation that they hear their carts and those who walk and tremble because they want it like a silence alone in the holy mountain! I'm a little distracted because even a day after we left I put up pressure so I think about what we pulled... The rest of the academy and the team that stayed downtown in other hotels lived magical moments...we won to stay where we knew to spend an unacceptable stay! But that we ordered daily and made bills at restaurants and at the pool bar did not spoil the money we left! Shame because hospitality and offspring of the alien Zeus was not this Kalamatian behavior! Excuse me for the linen, but if I can protect some family from saving what we pulled out is a profit!
The only positive is George the waitress a good kid who did what passed by his hand and was ashamed of what he heard that we were told! In general, not outside

Extremely disappointing experience with Belvedere Hotel in Kalamata.

Extremely disappointing experience with Belvedere Hotel in Kalamata.
We had arranged to host a baby shower for a very close friend and confirmed the venue, date, and number of guests by phone. To avoid any misunderstandings, my wife specifically asked for written confirmation, and she was assured everything had been "noted." It had not.
On the day of the event, when she called to coordinate the decoration timing, the person in charge first said she thought the booking was for a different day, which made clear that no proper record had been kept. She then told us we could not use the outdoor area because of a possible chance of rain, even though the forecast showed only 10 percent. It did not rain at all.
She refused to offer an indoor alternative, claiming the available space was "too large" for our group, and instead suggested we move the event to the next day simply because that suited the hotel's availability. This ignored that everything was already organized and that several guests were traveling from other areas to attend.
When we raised this, we were told that written confirmations are only provided for "large events" and that in our case she was doing us "a favor." We never asked for a favor. We expected basic professionalism and proper coordination, and the hotel delivered neither. No accountability, no attempt at a solution, and no apology.
For context, we live in the Netherlands. I had genuinely been pleased to find this hotel, because part of my work involves conferences and industry events, and the region looked like somewhere I might consider hosting them. After watching a confirmed gathering of 20 people fall apart, I would never consider it for anything larger or more important.
In the end we were fortunate. A higher category hotel on the seafront accommodated us at short notice, on noticeably better and more affordable terms than what we had agreed here. That contrast tells you everything.
Based on this experience, I would not trust this hotel with any kind of reservation.

Dear Guest,
We completely reject the claims made in this review, as they do not reflect the actual events.
No confirmed reservation ever existed. There was no written agreement, no signed offer, no menu selection, no deposit payment, and no final confirmation of any event details. The communication consisted only of a telephone inquiry regarding the possibility of hosting a small gathering.
What is particularly surprising is that the inquiry was not even made by the parents or the organizers of the event themselves, but by a third party. This alone demonstrates the level of seriousness with which the matter was handled. It is difficult to understand how anyone can consider an event confirmed without any written agreement, deposit, contract, or formal booking procedure.
As with all outdoor events, weather conditions and operational considerations must always be taken into account. The hotel cannot reserve areas, block availability, or guarantee event spaces based solely on an informal phone conversation.
Professional event planning requires clear communication and proper booking procedures from both parties. Unfortunately, none of the standard steps required to secure an event were ever completed.
We find it unfair that a business is publicly criticized for an event that was never formally booked or confirmed. Nevertheless, we wish the family all the best and hope their celebration was successful.

Unprofessional Management and Completely Unreliable Booking

Extremely disappointing experience with Belvedere Hotel in Kalamata.
We had arranged to host a baby shower for our friend, having already confirmed the venue, date, and number of guests over the phone. Although I specifically requested a written confirmation to avoid any misunderstandings, the person in charge assured me that everything had been “noted,” which ultimately proved to be completely unreliable.
On the day of the event, when I called to coordinate the decoration timing, the response was highly unprofessional. Initially, she claimed she thought the booking was for a different day, clearly showing that no proper record had been kept. She then informed us that we could not use the outdoor area due to a possible chance of rain, despite the forecast showing only a 10% probability-and, in fact, it did not rain at all.
She also refused to offer an indoor alternative, stating that the available space was “too large” for our needs. Instead, with surprising audacity, she suggested that we move the event to the following day, simply because that suited their availability-completely disregarding the fact that we had already organized everything and had guests traveling from other areas to attend.
What was most unacceptable was being told that written confirmations are only provided for “large events” and that in our case she was doing us a “favor.” We never asked for any favor-we expected a basic level of professionalism and proper coordination, which the hotel failed to deliver.
There was no accountability, no effort to find a solution, and, most importantly, no apology for the situation.
Based on this experience, I would not trust this hotel with any kind of reservation.

Dear Guest,
We completely reject the claims made in this review, as they are inaccurate and do not reflect what actually occurred.
No confirmed reservation ever existed. There was no written agreement, no signed offer, no deposit, no menu selection, no payment, and no final confirmation of any event details. The communication consisted only of a telephone inquiry regarding the possibility of hosting a small private gathering.
What is particularly surprising is that the inquiry was made by a third party on behalf of others. The parents or organizers themselves never proceeded with any formal booking process. This alone demonstrates the seriousness with which the matter was handled. It is difficult to understand how anyone can consider an event confirmed without a written agreement, deposit, contract, payment, or any of the standard procedures required to secure a venue.
At no point did the hotel receive a confirmed reservation. As with any professional hospitality business, event spaces cannot be reserved indefinitely based solely on an informal telephone conversation.
We also strongly reject the allegations regarding unprofessional conduct. The facts are simple: no booking existed, no contractual agreement existed, and no financial commitment was ever made.
It is unfortunate that, instead of accepting this reality, multiple reviews have been posted attempting to portray the situation as a confirmed reservation that was allegedly cancelled by the hotel. This is simply not true.
We consider this review misleading and harmful to our business reputation. For this reason, we respectfully request that TripAdvisor review and remove this comment, as it contains false and defamatory statements that misrepresent the facts and appear intended solely to damage our business.
It is worth noting that similar content previously published on other platforms has already been removed following review.
