Brilliant Family run Hotel

We have just returned from a two-week stay. Location is exceptional! Located immediately on the beach. All photos on the website are accurate. However a few years old. Everything has weathered a bit... The owner and all staff were wonderful. Nothing too much trouble. We stayed in an apartment on the first floor with a balcony (chairs, table and clothes airer provided). Kitchenette had an electric hob with two burners. (note no kettle!) however, coffee machine and pods provided. small fridge and table for four persons. Airconditioning was included in our price so dont know if cheaper rates do not include. Easy walk into town, F28 bus stop to Rhodes and Lindos 3 minutes walk. Yes you have to pay for lounge chairs is you want to be very close to the water. Due to Covid - many menu items were not available every day and of course no buffet. All lunch menu items were brilliant. homemade burgers! great sandwiches, perfect greek salads and at a reasonable price. We felt like part of the family by the end of our stay. It is a 2* hotel but very very clean and everything worked. Would not hesitate to recommend. Didnt want to leave.

Not bad, but could be better

Recently stayed in this hotel. The hotel was not bad, but the breakfasts could be better. Not as varied as I expected (fried eggs, some bacon, bread, and cereal every day).
The location is great, with everything nearby (bus stations, supermarkets). However, the interior of the hotel was disappointing (old and basic furniture, and there were some problems with electricity for 2 days). If you wish to use the hotel sunbeds on the beach, you need to pay 15 euros (2 sunbeds + umbrella) – even though you are a guest of this hotel, which I didn’t expect.
I would like to draw attention to the tours offered at the hotel. I do not recommend them at all because the offerings do not match reality in terms of price and quality.
I booked the Symi & Chalki tour, thinking it was one tour at one price. However, it turned out to be separate tours with different prices, which also meant different commission rates for the organizer. Unfortunately, I fell ill and couldn’t visit Chalki.
I informed the organizer (Mike) a day before the trip, so I asked for a refund for the services not rendered, to which we received the answer - NO. I’ve already paid 40 euros to the organizer and had to pay the company 60 euros later.
Can recommend tours via GetYourGuide app (not add, real suggestion).
In general, the journey was good, but could be better.

If they were not as lazy and cheap, it could be a great place!

Good location on the beach, spacious apartments and comfortable size, however they have used very bad quality materials and the rooms fall apart, before even they have been used! Cheap furniture, fake walls, only one hunger on the bathroom, which falls down all the time. I even asked for a screwdriver to fix it myself.... and a kitchenette, that there is no room to put a plate to even fix a sandwich. Maybe you could find something better!

Not as advertised

We stayed at Beach Break in September 2019 – have chosen this Apart-hotel because of its location on the beach and great photos on their web side.
We booked a studio with kitchenette but it was terrible! We were totally disappointed!
Studio was not renovated as stated on their webside, worn out furniture, concrete floor, no mosquito nets (broken) … totally different from photos on their webside. We asked owner to put us into another studio and thus he put us in a room (not a studio with kitchen as we booked) on top floor. We accepted his proposal as this room was really renovated and was much better than a studio on ground floor.
Our opinion about Beach Break room:
POSITIVE:
Great location
Good breakfast
Clean room (the one which was recently renovated)
Parking available
NEGATIVE:
NO WiFi at all - during our whole stay
NO TV
NO safe deposit box
NO closet to put your clothes in! Only 1 m clothes rack with 6 clothes hangers
Air-condition only upon payment
Very basic furniture
Noise every evening (loud music from nearby hotels)
There were only 6 sunbeds available free of charge for all hotel guests. If you wish to stay on hotel sunbeds on the beach, you need to pay 10 Euro (2 sunbeds + umbrella) – no matter that you are guest of this hotel …
In one sentence: great location, but do not expect too much from the hotel.

Don't be fooled

When we arrived the main reception had not been built and we were told rudely that the sign stated that check-in was to be done at the bar-this was not readable. They changed our room last minute to the second floor, it was all stairs so any large cases have to be carried (just keep that in mind). Our room had 2 single bed located in the kitchen and hobs were at the end of one bed. This is not a child friendly room, there was a double bed in the back room. There was no kettle, only a coffee machine but this did not boil water. There was no toaster. The hobs were absolutely useless, we had dinner in one night and tried to boil water for corn, we left it 2hours and the water was not even simmering. This was a useless kitchen. The bathroom was designed as a 'wetroom'.On our first night we soon realised that this was not the case, the whole room flooded. We had to have someone come up and sort it out. We were spoken to very rudely as if this was our fault. We had to get wet then turn the shower off, wash and then wash it off.The shower flooded again, which then flooded our entire apartment. We had to get help as it was very bad.The cleaner came she was very polite, then the same guy came and was shouting in Greek, this was very unnerving. We had no apology and were given nothing to show that they felt bad. Overall the women staff were very nice to us however the male staff and the guy in charge were not. Their whole attitude was disgusting. I was very disappointed.
