WOULD HAVE BEEN OK IF THEY OPENED THE POOL BAR
Pefkhori town is nose to tail cars at the weekend as the resort is heaving with tourists. No a resort or villas that I would return to. All of the Greek islands we have visited have been far better. You live and learn

Great apartments, perfect location!
Basic but clean apartments, have everything you need. Lovely quiet pool area, even in June, no sunbed wars! Lovely place, felt very traditional rather than a typical large Jet2 hotel. Sam works very hard to ensure you are happy and provides excellent customer service. The bar snacks are amazing! The beach is a 10 minute walk. Restaurants and shops are a 10 minute walk too. Great location. Highly recommend and I would definitely return in the future. Thanks for your hospitality Sam, from the Robertson family from Scotland :)

The holiday far exceeded our expectations!
Sam, the owner warmly welcomed us and offered us a complimentary welcome drink.
The studio was small but well equipped it had a wardrobe with enough hangers for our three weeks stay, two bedside cabinets with plugs and a large modern safe that was free of charge, air-conditioning was also complementary which is most unusual for apartments in Greece.
The kitchen area featured a double ring ceramic hob with a fan extractor , a stainless steel sink and a good full size efficient fridge, plus the normal basic essentials knives, forks mugs etc.
The shower room was compact but bright, with white marble – effect Walls. It had a glass panel shower , a large overhead showerhead and a smaller movable shower. The towels were thick white and smelled lovely and these were changed every couple of days.
A terrace was spacious, with a table and two chairs, plus a little washing line and even pegs were supplied. The pool area was lovely, with a large pool and a smaller one for children to use or adults to cool off in. The surrounding garden was well maintained, with neatly cut grass that was kept lush and green thanks to daily sprinklers.
The Ilios bar was great offering a variety of cold drinks, frappe’s smoothies, beer and wines at competitive prices. You could also order bar snacks, toasted salads etc from Sam until 5 pm. The cleaning lady visited daily….. thankfully not too early in the morning which suited us perfectly after she cleaned and washed the floors and terrace the studio always smelt lovely.
OUT AND ABOUT -:
From the back gate of Villa Ilios, you could reach the beach through a cut through alleyway in about five minutes. This stretch of beach doesn’t have sunbeds but further down to the right you will find the elephant bar which has thick sunbeds, cabana umbrellas and large beanbags ( at a price!!) plus a sizable bar. The sea was lovely and shallow for some way out, I was glad I had taken sea shoes for the initial plunge.
The promenade along Pefkochori runs right along the beachfront and is lined with palm trees and lots of different restaurants, plus bars. The sunsets were probably the most stunning I have ever seen.
You also have the square which is just above the main road with a handful of more traditional restaurants slightly further to walk but worth it for the food and the warm welcome. My Husband has walking difficulties but managed the walk okay, however we occasionally took advantage when eating at the Square to do a supermarket shop to carry heavy goods and jump into a taxi back to Villa Elios for €5.
During our stay at Villa Ilios, we had no problems with sunbeds. They were plenty for everyone. Sam our host was a delight. He regularly came round with mini shot glasses of different cocktails for everyone to try and the atmosphere at the poolside was always friendly and relaxed. A couple of evenings it rained and Sam came out with a large umbrella for people to use and even drove my Husband and I up to the Square so we wouldn’t get wet.
When it came time to leave once again we were surprised Sam did everything he could to allow people to stay in their studios if leaving late or trying to find another room for his clients to use… Once again no charge!
Sam really couldn’t do enough for the people staying in his accommodation and my husband and I would have absolutely no hesitation in booking Villa Ilias again.
So thank you, Sam for making our holiday so happy and relaxed
