Very good

We had lunch in this very funny little restaurant with a grocery store underneath, located in the small village of Krasi (I think the only interesting village to see on the plateau of Lassithy).
Welcome, smiles, quick service, 1 beer and 1 ouzo, 2 hearty Greek salads, 1 tzatziki, 1 bottle of water for a total of 30€.
Delicious dessert offered (donuts with cream ice cream?).

Dark Apartment But A Warm Welcome

A mixed start to my stay, especially because there are several types of apartments available, and I did not expect to receive the one that looked like a cave, dark and low light, which contrasted with the photos I had seen online. In addition, the key provided did not allow to open the back door, which was a small inconvenience. However, these positives: the owner, very friendly, offered us coffee the morning of our Check-out, and the restaurant of the same name offers delicious cuisine. The locals were also very welcoming, like this man who passed his head out the window to greet us. And for quiet evenings, comfortable bedding, the apartment was equipped with Netflix, a more appreciable.

WOW

We have lived in Crete for 4/5 years and this is my first review because I couldn’t let it not be said how awesome the whole experience was from evening meal - Breakfast - Accomodation
Hospitality - 5 /5 nothing was to much trouble .
Eve meal - WOW from starters to main to a thank you desert - not a small piece iff cake but a meal in itself .
Accommodation - WOW clean smart traditional / contemporary , great craftsmanship throughout . Breakfast - Wow Wow Wow what an experience fit for a king and his family .
The whole team was professional and helpful .
We will see you again .

Perfect

A beautiful and very well equipped comfortable room/house in a picturesque mountain village. The owner also operates an eponymous tavern, where we had possibly the best dinner of all our Crete travels (and an opulent breakfast;-). The village Krasi and its surroundings is also a perfect place for romantic walks out of the heavily populated touristic destinations (although quite a short drive up from the northern beaches in Hersonissos area (Malia, Sisi)). In its centre you can find probably the oldest platane tree in all Greece - estimated age 2400 years. Also, a 20 minute drive futher up in the mountains will take you to the Lasithi Plateau, which is a must see, if you have some spare time on your trip.
