We booked a cheap late deal and we weren’t sure exactly what we were going to get . I shouldn’t have worried . We didn’t arrive until 2.00am , Maria and her Brother were waiting for us, we were offered two rooms which was nice . We ended up in room 8 which was an apartment with two bedrooms and 4 beds, a kitchen and a bathroom. We also had 2 patios at 90 degrees to each other. Both bedrooms were a generous size each one was much bigger than the room we had last year in Corfu. There were plenty of cupboards, a wardrobe and places to put your cases. There is a safe and aircon ( both which you pay extra for , but we knew that and there was no pressure to purchase. ) We didn’t need the aircon, we found that opening the two patio windows there was a decent breeze that cooled the room. There were only two of us , but even using 1 bedroom we had ample room. The second bedroom housed the kitchen, which had a nice stove, cooker, fridge, sink , pots, pans , cutlery, knives , washing up liquid , pan scourers and utensils. Plenty of glasses etc. we didn’t use the kitchen to cook in , but it would be great for people who want to cook / self cater. The bathroom was also a lovely size , a decent sized shower with loads of hot water , again way bigger than anything we’ve had in previous visits to the islands . I had read other reviews and saw criticism of the breakfast by some. If you come expecting a “ full cooked English “ you will be disappointed, but there are any number of places that you can buy them from within a 10 minute walk , if that’s what you want . You can even but cooked breakfasts at the hotel should you wish. The breakfast was ideal for us , it’s a simple buffet , you can eat outside under cover and it was lovely , chatting to other guests and the owner and family who are always around. There’s toast , ( toast your own ) Ham, Salami , Cheese , Feta Cheese ( gorgeous ) fresh sliced Tomato, Cucumber , cooked sausages ( small but tasty ) cooked eggs / omelettes , fresh Orange juice , 3 types of cereal and milk and a serve yourself drinks machine for different coffees , and a range of tea bags for tea, The staff at breakfast were super , really welcoming and friendly . The pool and bar are a focal area , it was kept spotlessly clean , and as the holiday progressed ( we were there 3 weeks ) the younger crowd arrived . They clearly had a blast and the pool deck was busy , but it was a great atmosphere. We were worried it would be too noisy , but it’s only 3 minutes from the strip, we heard nothing. We did hear some of the students coming back at 4 am on several occasions, but they were trying hard to be quiet and we’ve all been there, it wasn’t an issue .Finally the cleaners , staff and family who run the hotel. They are the icing on the cake for me. It’s an older hotel , and it’s rightly classified correctly, but their efforts and diligence really lift the experience. The rooms were well cleaned and linens changed frequently. The pool , breakfast area was well managed despite being busy. The family simply cannot do enough for you , likewise the staff . I saw the owner all over on his scooter , always a wave and a chat . Their efforts were really appreciated. Thank you for a superb 3 weeks.
