Super Hotel in Matala
First of all, I have to praise the staff. Whether it was information, help or service. Always the people were very friendly and helpful.
Then the location is far from the big action but still very close to the beach and the city center.
The hotel is very nice. The rooms are newly renovated. The beds are very nice and comfortable, The bathroom was equipped with everything you need, and very nice.
Balcony there was not as we were on the ground floor, so terrace.
Around the corner was the pool, with sunbeds under trees. In general, there was a lot of greenery. Then there was a pool for children with a playground and slides.
In a large, open room there was breakfast and dinner. Both very good, always well stocked, excellent in taste and many Greek dishes. Thanks to the cook.
The drinks for dinner were very good.
There was a well-stocked bar.

Partly plastic dishes, defective toaster throughout our stay.
It is expected to remove its used dishes itself. Chair and table height do not match.
Annoying: Drinks must be paid for every day, possibly several times. (Pool bar/ dinner). There is no possibility to have drinks written in the room.
Rooms: Newly renovated, clean, (DZ) rather small.
Location: Good, quiet location about 10 minutes walk to Matala. If you don't want to explore everything on foot, a car is highly recommended.
Good : Saturday evening live music

At the foot of the mountains
Beware, the photos I see on TripAdvisor seem to be very old and more topical. The hotel has since been restored and is much more modern.
Small downside for people who are not used to: In the toilet it is asked to place toilet paper in the bin placed nearby and not in the toilet directly. It’s quite disturbing when you’re not used to it... but the cleaning is so qualitative and regular that you don’t even realize it.
