Magical.

An unforgettable stay thanks to Eleni the manager, kind, available, and attentive. We will return, that is certain!!! The hotel is close to everything... the sea, the pedestrian street, its shops, bars, and restaurants. It has 2 pools and the food is very, very good! It is clean and warm!

Disappointed

I had booked a 15-day stay at the Fragiskos Hotel in Matala, but I ultimately decided to leave after a week.
Upon my arrival, I noticed that the room had not been properly cleaned. After reporting it to the front desk, a housekeeper quickly intervened to perform a thorough cleaning. I want to emphasize the establishment's responsiveness on this point.
On the other hand, several aspects of my stay disappointed me. The reception from the management seemed particularly cold throughout the week. Although the front desk staff speaks French, English, and Greek, I often felt that my requests were not given much attention.
Regarding the amenities, I never had access to the air conditioning. Certainly, the nights in the second week of May were cool, but I would have appreciated being able to manage the temperature in my room myself.
The breakfast also left much to be desired. From the very first morning, the only available toaster broke down. It was removed but was never replaced during my stay. Additionally, the buffet normally offered two types of bread, white and whole grain. On several days, the whole grain bread was absent, and despite my request, I was told that there was no other available.
However, I would like to highlight the kindness of the housekeeping staff as well as that of some of the dining staff, who were always smiling and ready to help. In contrast, the attitude of some staff members seemed distant, and I found the behavior of an employee at the outdoor bar inappropriate, even if it was likely intended to be humorous.
It is the accumulation of these different elements that led me to shorten my stay and leave the hotel after only a week.

A true haven of peace.

We were pampered throughout our stay. The staff is exceptionally kind and always available. We had an excellent stay; the meals are of superb quality and impeccable cleanliness... All of this is just 10 meters from the beautiful beach of Matala. Thank you
