A jewel in Metamorphosis!

Family-run hotel, in a tourist town is located almost by the sea. The hotel has been owned by the Simeon family for three generations, and is run in a very professional manner. Located at the beginning of Sithonia , it is convenient to reach all locations, even in Kassandra. It has been recently renovated and is really cute as well as clean. Rooms a little small, but with everything you need, including a nice terrace where you can lay towels and costumes. Very nice pools but little used by us because we prefer the sea. Restaurant managed impeccably, both by the maitre d' and by the boys and ladies. Quick, careful, clean. The exceptional cook, international cuisine, varied and really well cooked food. Congratulations to the chef! A strong point of this hotel is the kindness of everyone, from the reception to the lady who supplies the self at the restaurant. Highly recommended! We will be back...

Dear Guest,
Thank you so much for your wonderful review and for taking the time to share your experience at Hotel Simeon.
We are truly honored by your kind words about our family-run hotel and your appreciation for the professionalism and warmth of our team. It means a lot to us, especially as we continue the tradition of hospitality passed down through three generations of the Simeon family.
We’re glad you enjoyed our convenient location near the sea and found our recent renovations to your liking. It’s great to hear that, although the rooms were a bit small, you found them comfortable and well-equipped, especially the terrace area.
Thank you for your compliments on our restaurant and kitchen staff. We will proudly pass your praise to our chef and the entire team — they’ll be thrilled to know their efforts made your stay memorable.
Your kind words about our service, cleanliness, and atmosphere truly motivate us to keep improving and offering our guests the best possible experience.
We look forward to welcoming you back to Sithonia soon!
Kind regards,
The management

A real disgrace.

A disgrace.
You cannot call it a "hotel"... truly sad.
As soon as we entered the room, there was an unbearable smell. I asked what was happening and they said it was the cleaning ladies' fault. They showed me another room, the same smell. Nothing to be done, I left it open...
In the evening we went to dinner... surprise, never seen a buffet like that. All the food was old, we couldn't even get close to it. Covered in garlic, onion, everything fried 10 times... how disgusting...
Luckily we had booked for two days. We left and another German family left with us (they looked at the buffet and ran away). We saw him eating in the town restaurant.
In the hotel restaurant there was a guy named Jonny, a manager who tried to be friendly with the customers to make them forget the sadness of the restaurant...something I've never seen in my life...so squalid...
Then, don't get me started on the town of Metamorfosi...everything neglected, dirty, all old, sad...
Never again in these areas
Avoid it

Dear guest,
Your review contains a number of statements that do not accurately reflect your stay at our hotel.
Regarding the room, you informed our reception about an unpleasant smell immediately after your arrival. Although our housekeeping team had not detected any issue beforehand, we responded without hesitation and showed you an alternative room. After inspecting it, you informed us that the same smell was present there as well and chose to remain in your original room.
Concerning our buffet, we respectfully disagree with your description. All dishes are freshly prepared and served daily in accordance with food safety standards. While we fully understand that individual tastes vary, describing all of the food as stale is simply not an accurate representation of the quality we provide or of the experience shared by the vast majority of our guests.
We are also disappointed by your comments regarding our staff. Our team is committed to making every guest feel welcome and comfortable throughout their stay. The friendliness and professionalism of our employees are consistently recognized in the thousands of positive reviews we receive each year, and we remain proud of their dedication.
Finally, we find it unfortunate that your review extends beyond our hotel to criticize the entire village of Metamorfosi and its people. We believe every destination has its own character, and many visitors return year after year precisely because they appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and authentic hospitality the area offers.
We respect every guest's opinion, but we also believe that reviews should provide future travellers with a fair and balanced description of their experience.

Good location, awfully unpleasant management and staff

The location of the hotel is genuinely great, and the facilities are actually very good for a three-star hotel in Greece. The rooms, surroundings, and general setup were all perfectly fine. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the food—or, more importantly, the hospitality.
If you are choosing between breakfast only and breakfast plus dinner, I would strongly recommend breakfast only. Yes, having dinner included may save you some money, but apparently saving money comes at the price of having to eat the dinner. The food was really, really not good, and Greece has far too much wonderful food available to spend your evenings regretting your all-inclusive decision.
However, the biggest problem with this hotel is not the hotel itself. It is the owners and management.
Everything is wonderful as long as you are smiling, satisfied, silent, and preferably have no questions, concerns, or problems of any kind. The moment an actual issue appears, the famous Greek hospitality disappears faster than the dinner buffet should have.
The management was remarkably uncommunicative, unpleasant, unwelcoming, and, when challenged about a genuine safety concern, obnoxiously rude. There is the owner’s son confidently walking around in his white trousers and modern managerial style, the hotel manager, and then the dramatic appearances of another member of management, emerging from the sea to scold grown adults like naughty schoolchildren. Quite an experience. Perhaps this is part of the entertainment program.
The restaurant staff were also an interesting combination: smiling politely while simultaneously examining and judging you from head to toe. A very special talent.
The most serious incident happened when large, heavy palm branches were being cut directly above our balcony. Nobody informed us. Nobody warned us. The branches came crashing down onto our balcony while we were inside the room with our child, who had been constantly running in and out. Thankfully, nothing happened—but that was thanks to luck and certainly not thanks to the hotel’s safety procedures. When you are staying somewhere with a child, you generally expect management to understand that dropping large tree branches onto an occupied balcony without warning the guests is perhaps not the finest example of hospitality.
This was our first genuinely unpleasant experience with people in Greece. Everywhere else, we have met warm, welcoming, kind, and helpful people. So, if you are looking for a hotel with a great location and decent facilities, this place has those. If you are also interested in meeting remarkably unpleasant hotel management and discovering how quickly hospitality can disappear when you raise a problem, then you are in for a truly unforgettable holiday experience.

Dear guest,
Your review contains a number of statements that require clarification, as they do not accurately reflect what took place during your stay.
Regarding our half-board service, culinary preferences naturally vary from guest to guest. However, describing our buffet as objectively poor does not reflect the experience of the thousands of guests who dine with us each season and consistently rate our food highly.
Since most of your review focuses on the palm tree maintenance, it is important to present the facts.
The pruning was carried out exclusively for health and safety reasons, as several dry palm branches required immediate removal to eliminate any potential risk. The work was deliberately scheduled at 19:00, when the majority of our guests are having dinner, in order to minimize inconvenience. During the maintenance, three members of our management and maintenance team (one of the hotel owners and two employees) were present to ensure that all health and safety procedures were strictly followed. Guests who were visible on the surrounding balconies were personally informed and asked to remain inside their rooms for approximately 5–10 minutes until the work was completed. Your balcony was empty at the time, so our staff reasonably assumed the room was unoccupied, as was the case with most rooms during dinner service. Once the work was completed, a member of our maintenance team immediately cleaned your balcony.
What is missing from your review is that, during our discussion, the conversation quickly shifted from expressing your concerns to repeated statements that photographs and videos would be published on Booking.com, Google, and TripAdvisor, together with references to how the situation could be "resolved." We believe there is a clear distinction between reporting a concern and attempting to obtain compensation after an incident.
You also state that we misled you regarding the dinner hours. Our restaurant opening times are clearly displayed at reception, inside the restaurant, and communicated during check-in. After discussing the matter with you, it became evident that your devices had not been adjusted to the local Greek time after your arrival. While this can happen when travelling, it was not caused by the hotel.
Finally, your comments regarding our management and staff are difficult to reconcile with what actually occurred. Although you were dissatisfied with your assigned room upon arrival, we immediately offered you an alternative room on the first floor, which you declined. Throughout your stay, every concern you raised was addressed personally by both the hotel owner and the management team.
Constructive criticism is always welcome, and we continuously strive to improve our services. However, we also believe that reviews should present events fairly and accurately, allowing future guests to form their own opinion based on the complete picture.
Kind regards

Be cautious when booking the Standard Family Room at Hotel Simeon, as it may not match the photos or descriptions provid

1. We had a disappointing stay at this hotel. The room was nothing like the pictures—dated and smelled musty as soon as we walked in. The bed was uncomfortable, and there were blood stains on the sheets.
2. There was a constant, unpleasant smell in the bathroom that never went away, and to make matters worse, there was no ventilation or fan to help with airflow. Definitely something the hotel needs to address.
3. When we contacted the front desk to ask why the room didn’t match what was shown in the booking confirmation, they simply responded, “Oh, it’s the same standard family room—we just forgot to update the photos on the hotel page."
4. As for the restaurant the food was fresh, flavorful.

Dear guest,
Thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations.
We take cleanliness and maintenance seriously, so the condition of the room and the presence of stains on the sheets are unacceptable. This has been addressed with our housekeeping team to prevent it from happening again.
Regarding the bathroom, we acknowledge the issue with the ventilation and are looking into ways to improve airflow in those areas. We understand this impacted your comfort, and we appreciate you pointing it out.
On a positive note, we’re glad you enjoyed the food at our restaurant. We do aim to provide fresh and quality meals, so it's good to hear that came through.
We value your feedback and will use it to make necessary improvements.
Kind regards,
The management

THOUGH THREE STARS "FALL" MUCH MORE HORRIBLE!

Improper behavior of staff. Good breakfast. Dinner could have been better. Quiet hotel with good layers. The bathroom is a little small. Good and clean spaces (the only negative is that there are still beetles in the area - lack of infrastructure - and frequent evacuation is required). Two wonderful pools and every Sunday live event... Well done!
